It's definitely not good. I guess best case scenario looking at it through purple and gold glasses, it still doesn't say that they found proof of payment. We have no idea what these documents even are that ESPN obtained. That said, 11 people involved is a far cry from Smart and his mother and a bunch of unsubstantiated claims about Naz Reid.

When a blue blood is caught, they admit and then brace for punishment. Alabama was just slow to work with the NCAA for the Means' case, and look what happened.
LSU's head coach literally flipped the NCAA the bird and told them to frick off. Your AD supported it and the fan base cheered it on. It's the same thing as working out a plea deal and being polite to the judge vs tell him that you banged his mom and then taking a piss on the bailiff. One gets you a couple years probation, the other gets you 5-10.
Eh, I think cooperation used to matter but look at recent precedent. Missouri was commended for their cooperation for a rouge tutor helping players cheat. They still got hammered. Miami and UNC flipped the proverbial bird to the ncaa and got nothing with a mountain of horrible stuff the ncaa couldn’t prove or had no authority to address (UNC). IMO if you’re gonna cheat and get caught, don’t help the NCAA sign your death warrant. Wade had the unfortunate luck the FBI was investigating one of his contacts for something the feds and judge determined had nothing to do with Wade.

Whether he did or he didn't the NCAA is a joke! You telling me that ALL the so called blue bloods don't pay their players,
To answer your question, I think what Wade is accused of is likely multiple steps beyond what most other cheating programs are doing. I do not think many programs have the head coach managing pay for play schemes to this degree- plausible deniability is what you want here. Do they know boosters are handing out cash? Sure. But this level of involvement, in 2020, is a pretty shocking allegation. If you don’t want to admit that, fine by me. But I think you’re being dishonest with yourself.

If they want to break this cycle then they all need to go down and not just Will Wade and LSU!
We've been nailed before. You take your licks and move on. If you don't want to get caught, cheater smarter.

Yeah you are right. I’m really not sure how Wade can survive this.
