SEC going to get all 16 in every so often, huh?

Surely that's Sankey's goal.

The same way I felt about the CFP expansion. It's all about the money, no one cares about the integrity of the sport anymore. It's a bunch of greedy people making billions off the backs of young men and women.

If 16-14 Auburn qualifies for the mens tournament then who qualifies for the NIT? LSU?

So 52 teams get a first round bye. The last 24 play in to the field of 64.
Hells bells, if this is good expand to 128. It just one more round.

We know it isn’t good. Just a money grab and a feel good for letting teams in that don’t belong. That Slippery Rock vs Possum State first round game will be riveting.

So how will this be formatted. Will all 16 seeds now be decided via play in? That would mean all the 10 and 11 seeds would be decided by play in.

If they do this, they should eliminate the play in for the 16 seeds. Those teams won their way in by winning their conference tournament and deserve to get their shot at a 1 seed. Let’s not forget Siena took Duke to the limit. Make all 12 games play ins for seeds 9-11. (Assuming that seeds 12 and lower are the 1 bid conferences)

Had this format been in place last year, Iowa would have had to play an extra game just to get to the Clemson game that started their run to the elite eight.
