It is getting deep in here, do you really want to get into Shady Alumni, you have one on your board.

Don't get pissy and start deflecting. You asked a question about which shady alumni the other poster was talking about, and you got your answer. Rogers is every bit as guilty and wrong as Cecil Newton was.

Ftr I still find it hard to believe that he asked MSU, but didn't ask AU.

I'm not sure if we'll ever know if Auburn was asked or not.

So you are saying it is an unfair advantage to do something that is against the NCAA rules.

Is this kind of like its unfair because my neighbor sells dope and doesnt pay taxes and I work and do. He has an unfair advantage on me.

Yes, I am saying that. Your neighbor should be busted and doing jail time.

If they NCAA closes this loophole, then the player solociting money will be ruled inelgible, thus cutting down on the number of players that do it.

I really don't see what is so damn difficult to understand here.

I've said before that I think it was Roger's idea to solicit money so that both he and Cecil could get paid. I think when MSU said no, Cecil realized he fricked up and the safest route was to cut all ties.

Who is deflecting? I explained my position on Rogers, who btw also directed Cam to his juco school. Again, Rogers has not been affiliated with State since he played football there.

I just find it comical that you, as a Auburn fan, would bring up shady alumni and boosters.

Maybe I made a bad interpretation. I just dont see how it is unfair for one school to have shady dealings going on and it is unfair for them. isnt it more unfair for the school that isnt?

There is another thread that started before you got here where understanding is much more rampant.

I think that is a strong possibility.

Again, that goes against human nature. He would not be thinking that rationally.

So you are saying, it is perfectly fine to solicit money from one school, not get paid, then go attend another school with no consequences?

You are right, I don't understand that logic.

There really wasn't "any evidence" in the Bush case either was there?

quote:

$595.20 in round-trip airfare from San Diego to Oakland in November 2005 for Bush's stepfather, LaMar Griffin, his mother, Denise Griffin and younger brother to attend the USC-California game at Berkeley. The fees were charged to the credit card of Jamie Fritz, an employee of Ornstein. The document detailing the charges was provided by Lee Pfeifer, an estranged business associate of Ornstein's.

$250.65 for limousine transportation from the Oakland airport to the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco that November weekend for the Bush family, charged to Fritz, according to a document. Ornstein acknowledged both he and Bush's family stayed at the luxury hotel.

$623.63 for a hotel stay by Bush at the Venetian Resort & Casino in Las Vegas from March 11-13, 2005, charged to Michaels, according to a document signed by Bush.

quote:

$1,574.86 for a stay by Bush at the Manchester Hyatt in San Diego from March 4-6, 2005, paid for by Michaels, according to a hotel document, a hotel employee and a source.

As reported by Yahoo! Sports in April, $54,000 in rent-free living for a year at Michaels' $757,500 home in Spring Valley, Calif., according to Michaels and San Diego attorney Brian Watkins.

Oh, and there still isn't 1 shred of evidence that Cam Newton received money from Auburn.

I see where you are upset at the situation because it left MSU on the short side of the stick, but what would be the rule to fix that? If Cam truly didn't know, why should he be punished for what his dad did. MSU would have still lost out, but so would Cam. There is no rule that would have prevented MSU from losing out on this one.
