Stop crying about it and get your local city to build a 45 million dollar Softball complex that can seat 15K.

Which team lost last night who lives 45 minutes away? Cry me a river with the home field advantage excuses. West Coast teams have won this championship 20 years out of the 35 it's been in Oklahoma City. People only started bitching when Oklahoma went on a complete rampage and dominated this sport.

It's not about one game, it's about playing an entire tournament over the course of 7-10 days that makes a difference.

This game is nothing like it was back then. SEC didn't even start softball till the late 90s. When the Pac10 was winning, there were very few teams playing around the country. All of the talent was concentrated on the west coast.

And they have a huge advantage. OU won the thing on their first trip to the WCWS, but I'm sure being a short ride from campus, the facilities, family, recovery, etc never played into this, right? Anyone that believes OU is living exactly like the other teams is high on drugs.
If this tournament was in San Antonio right now, all the OU fans would be saying the same thing about an advantage for Texas.
NCAA puts regionals and super regionals in host locations because those teams earned that advantage, but all of a sudden, at the WCWS, lasting almost 10 days, we're supposed to believe no advantage is conferred when you're less than 30 minutes from home? Please, stop insulting people's intelligence and be man enough to admit OU gets an advantage here.

OU travels to Dallas every year. We don’t cry that it was unfair and they had an advantage when they beat us. I don’t see UGA fans crying about traveling to Jacksonville. No ones crying about Nebraska having an advantage in Omaha. Only people crying are the ones whose softball teams can’t seem to beat OU’s.
