Duke is getting runners on and working some counts, but they really need to get a big inning. Can't count on holding down OU's bats for an entire game.

I’m sure she’s a fantastic human being but it really gets under my skin that Kelly Maxwell transferred from Oklahoma State to OU. Oklahoma State has been a power for several years now and (as evidenced by this year) could have taken down OU. She didn’t have to pull a KD and join the Warriors to create a super team.

I find myself rooting for OSU because of this

Good job by Duke in getting out of that inning.

Transferring to a rival school is really weird to me.

If the fielder isn't so far in front of the bag on that steal, they get her out and Duke gets out of the inning I believe.

Pitching change for Duke might be the dumbest coaching move I've seen in a while. I mean, did I miss something - was there a good reason to pull the starter? Been trying to keep up with the game and the Trump trial at the same time.

It surprised me too Duke changed pitchers I'm not sure what the reason was for the change.

Yeah that was real slimy to me. Transfer literally anywhere else. Can’t go to a direct rival

I heard in one of her interviews that she grew up an OU fan and the Sooners pitching has been stacked for years. Who knows.
We had better pitching the last 3 years better than this year.

That last home run helped give us some breathing room.

7-1 top 5th coming up

OU is a machine that needed oiling in mid-late season but found their mojo here in B12 playoffs and WCWS game 1. Scary.

But it still only takes 1 pitcher to change that. And I have no idea why Duke changed pitchers early in game.

You have to hit the front of the bag if you're a runner. What in the hell...that is just piss poor baserunning. That is taught at a young age.

Nope.. probably not..

They found their mojo and/or stopped going through the motions a few weeks ago..

There is bad news though..

They have 6 of the Top 11 recruits committed next year..

So this run isn’t likely ending anytime soon.

TX has beaten OK this year and probably will hold their own in a 3 game series

Lots of games to be played yet. OU is not as string as last 3 years. I don’t overvalue today because its just 1 game. Its always great to win, but perspective is needed.

you aren’t as good as last year. but you are better than everyone else..

Can Texas/OSU and others beat you?

Yes, it’s possible.

Just isn’t likely imo

I know we have moved on to the WCWS but the ratings came out for the Super Regionals and apparently on Sunday A&M/Texas had the biggest rating ever for a Super Regional on ESPN2 and Bama/Tenn have the biggest rating ever overall for a Super Regional! Both games had better ratings than the SEC baseball championship

LINK /

“The NCAA softball super regionals topped out at a 0.40 and 776,000 for Texas A&M-Texas on ESPN2, followed by abbreviated coverage of LSU-Stanford at a 0.41 and 771,000 — the two largest super regional audiences ever on ESPN2. The overall record was set a day earlier by Alabama-Tennessee on ESPN. The complete super regionals averaged 519,000 viewers, up 3% from last year.”
