No lead is safe. It’s nice having the advantage early, but it’s early. Texas is very capable. No matter the sport, Texas always makes me nervous.

One of the most interesting questions for the WCWS final was whether Texas would go with its most in-form pitcher (Kavan) or the one who's had the best track record against OU (Gutierrez). Went with Kavan. She gave up 3 HRs in 2.1 innings and left down 5-1.

Texas put too much stock on Kavan’s success against Stanford, who has a terrible offense for the most part.
I probably would not have started a freshman against a juggernaut like Oklahoma in the championship series. We only did it because of lack of options.

but OU hit Morgan hard earlier this year
And Ciitaly hasn’t pitched since Gm1 against A&M

I dont think the Big12 should get credit for another championship either that conference will sure bark about it though next season talking about how many championships in Softball the Big12 has.
