I have known several NC St alums and they were all engineering types. I also knew several NC St people when I was in the military, they were all great guys. UNC people, on the other hand, as a group, are an arrogant bunch of aholes. I never knew one I really cared to be around. UNC people kind of remind you of big ten types.

I don’t want anything to do with UNC, just an obnoxious fan base.
They have a lot in common with Texas from a fan base standpoint and nothing in common with the SEC. The institutional arrogance there is insufferable and something you have to experience to appreciate fully.
Even worse, the Wolfpack can’t use the bathroom without asking the Tar Heel grads who make the decisions in state for permission. I’d say it’s even further gone than what the Aggie’s had to deal with in the Big XII before they left.
The difference between A&M and NC State is that I don’t think the Wolfpack have the will power or political clout to make a change and will most likely just continue to act passive aggressive as hell towards UNC without doing anything to fix the little brother predicament they are in.
