Both are better, everyone agrees on this now.

Really, because the SoS numbers are way different iirc we're like 33 and you're like 126.

Because what are you gonna do? Throw it towards Belue with Lester closing in to help? Yeah, that'd be much better.

Actually, both Milliner and Banks are rated ahead of Amerson now.

Amerson was the #1 CB in the preseason rankings, but his stock dropped after Tenn's CP lit him up in the opening game. He was greatly hyped because he had so many int's last season. He has only average speed.

SoS to date state is ranked 49th Bama is like 41st. The source you are getting 126 from is garbage and it is known for it. You can't honestly tell me that a team you've played would beat UT, and yes I realize after this week you will have also played them. When it is all said and done we both have the better teams we will face ahead of us.

Our DL and Lbs get tackles. What part of this don't people understand? We don't WANT our DBs getting tackles. If they do it's because they gave up the pass or the DL/LB didn't do their job right.

That is mostly true for safeties. Not so much for CBs that have played a few spread teams already... Been a ton of bubble screens thrown against us so far

Banks was also a S until part of the way through the 2010 season, so that first year.5 of stats wasn't as relevant either...

Nope, but every team sans maybe FAU would destroy every other team you've played so far.

Let's see, you've played Aubie, Troy, South Alabama, Jackson State, and Kentucky? Yeah, WKU/UM/Arky/OM/Mizzou beats all of them.

quote:

1. DeMarcus Milliner*, CB, Alabama Height: 6-1. Weight: 182. Projected 40 Time: 4.45. Projected Round (2013): Top 20. 10/13/12: Milliner had a great game against Ole Miss with an interception, half of a sack and four passes broken up. He had two tackles and a pass broken up versus Arkansas a couple weeks earlier. The junior almost had an interception with a long return, but it was ruled that he had trapped the ball.

Milliner was dominant against Michigan in Week 1. He broke up four passes, had five tackles and returned an interception 35 yards. Milliner's one mistake came when he lost his footing and fell down in man coverage. That allowed his receiver to get wide open for a score.

Milliner is tied for fourth in the nation with passes defensed with nine. He has 14 tackles and nine interceptions. Milliner is probably the best man-to-man cover corner prospect for the 2013 NFL Draft, and, as a result, he is rated at the top of his position.
quote:

3. Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State Height: 6-2. Weight: 185. Projected 40 Time: 4.44. Projected Round (2013): 1. 10/13/12: Banks has totaled 19 tackles, three interceptions and two passes broken up so far in 2012. He has been playing really good football for Mississippi State this season.

Banks had an excellent game against Auburn with two interceptions. They came in the second quarter and helped the Bulldogs pull away from Tigers in a nice win for the Mississippi State program.
quote:

4. David Amerson*, CB, North Carolina State Height: 6-3. Weight: 194. Projected 40 Time: 4.46. Projected Round (2013): 1. 10/13/12: Amerson had a rough first week of the season as he was beaten for a 41-yard touchdown and a 72-yard touchdown by Tennessee's dangerous passing attack. He recovered from those two early mistakes and played better for the rest of the game.

Amerson had an ugly performance versus Miami as he was beaten for two touchdowns in man coverage. He had interceptions in three straight games against the Citadel, South Alabama and Connecticut. Amerson has totaled 24 tackles, three interceptions and two passes broken up in 2012. His stock is falling.

quote:

12. Tyrann Mathieu*, CB/S, LSU Height: 5-9. Weight: 175. Projected 40 Time: 4.42. Projected Round (2013): 2-4. 10/13/12: Mathieu is sitting out football this season. LSU kicked him off the team, and he decided to check into a rehab facility for substance abuse issues rather than transferring down a level to play this season. Mathieu may seek to return to LSU for the 2013 season.

So Mathieu still made the list?

I wish someone would throw Simon's way. Everyone wants to pick on the True Freshman though.

What do you not understand? You have played garbage teams and so have we. Beating worse competition becomes irrelevant at a certain point. If you had played even 1 decent team I would understand that argument but you have not. We can argue all day about wether Missou or Troy is the better team but in the end it just doesn't matter because both would lose the game whether they played state or Bama.

But our garbage teams are better than your garbage teams. It is irrelevant really. Milliner will go before Banks whether you like it or not, and we won't have to worry about you in Starkville, we'll breeze by and get ready for LSU.

Any list that does not show Darius Slay in the top 10-15 CB's in the country(much less going undrafted) is incredibly difficult to find value in. Still having Broomfield being drafted as a CB? Not taking seriously until Slay is a top 3-4 round CB and Broomfield is a fringe pick at SS...

Take that up with the people who get paid to rate them.
