I disagree. The PAC 12 and Big 12 are defunct imo. The former teams brought their brand and history to their new conferences. And what really matters, championship pedigree programs in your conference. It makes what the sec does that much more impressive. SEC teams go through a gauntlet of former champions to win a national title. While everyone else plays a couple tough games to be in the same position.

I mean, I'm not bothered by leaving Tennessee off, but Florida deserves better.

How did USC win the BCS title in 2003? OP said nothing about a media vote. He was talking about Championship Games being won, not media votes being cast.
