ORLANDO was one of many..
He called Lorenzo Washington "Lionel Washington" almost an entire game and completely redubbed Dont'a Hightower as Dante Stallworth.
The man was American gold and a great drinking game.

Onterio McCaleb was also Orlando McCaleb for AU according to Verne.

Not a player but it seemed like Verne referred to LSU as "Louisiana State" more than any other announcer I recall.

I'll never forget the Eddie Jackson punt return for a TD against Ole Miss is 2016.
"Eddie Jackson. Eddie Jackson. One man to beat!"
Eddie Jackson
Verne was so bad he was good.
This is probably my favorite all-time Vern call. It took place right after the Brodie to Prothro bomb to start the game against UF in 2005.
This ain't Kentucky
"There are few truths in an uncertain world, but here's one. This ain't Kentucky."
That was beaut.

I remember on a TD pass from Matt Flynn to Demetrius Byrd he referred to them as Matt Quinn and Demetrius Boyd. It was in the ‘07 Bama game.
