He was always a Texas A&M lock and simply used LSU/TCU as leverage for whatever reason(probably more $$$ from bagmen)

And the guy who won the Texas State Player of the Year award before him was a 2 star recruit who plays receiver for TCU now. Being a good high school player doesn't always translate into college success. If that was the case the Carroll Dragons would send multiple guys to Division 1 every year instead of the single player they average.
