Nick Mullens QB for Southern Miss
Broke all of Brett Favre's records and had a helluva season in 2015. I remember he had a game where he threw for 590 yards but a WR had a drop towards the end that kept him from going over 600 yards
Started all 14 games
331/521 4476 yards 38/12 TD to INT
They made the CUSA Title game but lost to Western Kentucky. Monken had completed the 3 year turn around in Hattiesburg and took an NFL gig to make a lot more $. Southern Miss has sucked ever since.

Nick Mullens
Love this dude. He's legitimately one of the most humble, hardest working guys in the business. And he's a damn good QB.
quote:
Mullens was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and grew up in Hoover, Alabama (Spain Park). He's the grandson of Ernie Tabor, who pitched in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system in the 1950s. His uncle, Scott Tabor, pitched for the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team, and holds the school record for most career wins.
During his senior season in 2012, Mullens won the Gatorade Player of the Year award for the state of Alabama, finishing his career with the 7th most passing yards in AHSAA history.
I was rooting big time for him in 2020 when I thought he had a shot with the 49ers (after Garoppolo went down), but eventually getting placed on IR did him in. He's like Favre in that way too — will sacrifice his own body to make plays, much to his own detriment.
