Ok apparently Marks was a 4* Rivals changed that shite.
They adjusted his ranking when he came out of juco. If you navigate his profile you can find his original 3* rating

Aldon Smith was 3*, 1st rounder, and robbed of DROY

To this day, he is usually praised for his instincts, football IQ, "nose for the football", etc...which are all accurate but he is actually an elite athlete too. His athleticism is still under-rated.
None of this is because he was a white coaches son

Childs I thought was the 4 star. I got them backwards. Childs in place of Wright then.

IMO he played like a 3* most of his career at UT, he didnt blow up until the NFL. That does not dq him from this conversation, though.

I think Auburn was the only school to recruit Dontarrious Thomas in football. South Carolina recruited him in basketball. Turned into a pretty good linebacker.

To Ole Miss Fan above: While Patrick Willis was definetly under the radar, but he was a 3 star, not 2.

On my phone so can't post a link, but check his ESPN and scout profile. Both were 3* so average all three sites.

Here's the pinnacle answer to the OP. Brandon Burlsworth. They now award a trophy to the Most Outstanding Player in fbs who started as a walk-on.

Was gonna say Ingram too. He was a 4* that really flew under the radar when he signed.
Will Lowery, walk on to starter on NC team.

Under the radar does not limit the definition enough.
It should be a 2 star or less.
javier arenas
demeco ryans
were both 2 star by some publications.

Jarius Wright, D.J. Williams and Felix Jones were all four stars probably can't count them as under the radar.
