I respect alabama because they probably have the most thugs on a team, with the exception of florida and SC, but their coaching staff, short of some miracle, keeps them in check. Don't get in trouble and play like saban tells them to play. saban has control of the team. and they respect saban.

IMHO Auburn has an ethics issue along with a shitty team. I realize most of the SEC schools have been there before, it's just extremely shady on the plains right now (not a Toomer's joke). The amount of on and off-field issues keep stacking up.

If you lived in Alabama you would feel differently. The Auburn fan base is seemingly intelligent and has other interests in life other than than football. They don't wear Bama gear everywhere they go, etc., etc.
Though that 2006 game does really sticks in my craw.

It does seem that the auburn fanbase is more of the "rich white folkish" type. I've seen some pictures of some of the bama fans......they do seem more of the "blue collar" type.

I'm new to this board. This is my first post, and I chose this thread. I love this thread, even though there's no way in hell I'm gonna wade through 11 pages of it.
As an Auburn fan, it makes me so, so happy to get LSU hate. Honest to God, our team hasn't earned it in over a year. Auburn fans hate LSU when LSU is good because it's makes for a fantastic rivalry. When LSU is mediocre, we have enough hate for other people that we don't much care about LSU.
And that's LSU's problem. Nobody much cares about LSU except when they're good.
