what did he acomplish at bama?

Why would Washington throw millions at him until he has proven himself at Alabama?
all he proved at miami is that he was willing to quit

Why would he leave the SEC to be at arguably the worst program in the Pac 10?
why leave the nfl to go to a middle of the road college football team?

It just doens't make sense

Washington was also a powerhouse in the 80's and 90's and won a National Championship in the 90's.

I am here to tell you that MARK EMMERT has already had discussions with UW decision-makers about Saban.
That does NOT mean that Saban will do jack-shite.
It means that if the shite hits the fan, he has a great destination to achieve his goals.
I have already stated my generally positive feelings towards The Gumps. I am a known and documented Webel-hater. There is no need for you unhinged Gumps to call names or jump off bridges.
I have been on this board five years and have never made any "prediction" or started a "rumor" other than on the MONEY board. That prediction came from the SAME sources and can be documented with a quick search. I do have some credibility-Harper's view on my "Evisceration" thread of last August, notwithstanding.

well LSU wasn't in the best shape when he took over here and bama wasn't in the best shape when he came to yall.
also the man that brought him to LSU is now at washington.
washington will throw millions at him for the same reason alabama did. he is a good coach esp in the right situation. At washington he goes to a weaker conf with only 1 real team every year and the other good team that year is usually a different team.
also slightly reaching but the challenge of him being a defensive minded guy in what many look at as a offensive conf.

Just like how he accomplished something in Miami?
He will gladly tell you he made a mistake going to the NFL. Alabama was his way out. So until he does something here, I don't see anyone lining up to pay for him. I could see him leaving for PSU in a few years, but come on. Washington?

third head coaching job in less than a decade
You do realize that Les Miles has only coached at 1 place for more than 4 years right? 2005-to now LSU, 2001-2004 Ok St, 1998-2000 Dallas Cowboys, 1995-1997 Ok St, 1987-1994 Michigan, 1982-1986 Colorado. I know these aren't all head coaching gigs but this is what people do as they move up or change careers, they move.
No one on this board knows if Sab an is happy or not. No one knows if he has contacted anyone else. I assume that all of you that changed jobs, had your boss heard that you had been offered another job in the middle of the project, all of you would have answered by saying "Yeah I'm unhappy, I'm checking out my options" puhhhlllleeeaaaassseee.
I can speculate too, here we go....If Kirk does not bring attention to Miles before the SEC Championship game, you guys are looking for a new coach. See, we can all do it. Fact is it means absolutely squat.

I guess you can't read?

I also realize that Miles turned down his supposed dream job to remain at LSU.

Hey, let the guy go work where he'll be happy. If he thinks he'd be happier in Washington, he's a dumbass if he stays at Bama.

Man you guys have a bigger man crush on Saban than I thought. It's been years, move on.

Les Miles has had two head coaching positions. Saban has had four. I'll leave the mathematical challenge up to you.

.... wait. Didn't Saban turn down the WVU job a few months ago? Was this board going crazy then too?

Saban is not going anywhere. He is a BAMA lock, book it!
If he did leave Washington is not far enough from Alabama for safety. He may leave one day if Israel decides to get a football team. He is stuck with our crazy asses like it or not.

Please read all of the post before spewing hate. I acknowledged that he has had only 2 head coaching jobs. I was making a point to his moving every few years and how it means squat.

Did Saban ever say that the WVU job was his dream job? It had long been known that Miles viewed Michigan as his dream but he realized the dream was being at LSU, just like Saban has now realized.

We call that PROJECTION in the mental health profession.
Check your illogic; The Little Teacup was our former coach, of course we follow his career.
The question is, why the bloody hell do you care about LSU or Les Miles? And why are you on an LSU board ?
WHO has the crush here?
