I had a Golden Corral pop up near my apartment in Flowood many years ago when I was a single man. Breakfast Buffett was a hell,of a deal... but there was this.one.time.
I was actually there for lunch with some other poor Bros. I always found a way to look past the white trash that would go through the troughs, loading up their plates to the point it was an acrobatic feat to get back to their table without dropping a chicken wing on the floor, despite the fact... you don’t have to do that, you can get a new plate and go back one THOUSAND fricking times if your gluttonous appetite leads you to do so.
So, I go up to the trough...and I notice a portly woman sitting at an adjacent table that creepily had a keen eye on me. I get to the feed..and pick a victual that appealed to me at the time, but what it was eludes me now. I pick up a reasonable portion and place it on my plate, while the female Ogre keeps watching my every move. It was fricking creepy! . Anyway, I make my way back to the table and sit down, unfortunately still in view of the woman at the table on the other side of the boofay. She then proceeds to get up, go to the trough, and loads her feed bag up with the same thing I had put on my plate.
Haven’t been back to a Golden Corral since.

Yep, I'm the anti-hip guy and just a real person who ain't got time for highschool image games.
I shop at Wal-Mart and fricking love it. I spent 10 years in silicon valley where they didn't really have a walmart at all and was forced to shop at Target, where you pay more for the exact same items. But while everyone is too busy pretending they don't shop at Wal-Mart, I'm there a few times a week and happy to do so.
I also like places like Waffle House. Sure it's probably not the most clean place in the world, but I'm not a pussy and it hasn't killed me yet. Those hashbrowns are delicious and so are the patty melts.
I like Golden Corral ok. Yes, it's mostly the kind of food you can get in the frozen isles, the steaks are likely the cheapest qualities they can find, even the prime rib. But I'm not going there expecting the greatest meal ever.
On the flip side, I can say without a doubt the absolute worst restaurant I ever went to was Michael Mina at the Bellagio in Vegas. $80 for a "steak" dinner. It was literally 3 pieces of steak, what looked like a fricking tator tot as 1 of the sides and like 5 other small sides like that. I left that place still hungry. Total ripoff.

You ever work in a restaurant? I love how you are acting high roller when you probably eat take out for 80% of your meals. Where you have some of the nastiest people in the work preparing your "value meal" of the day.
Buffet's are what they are, but spare me the virtue signaling from the chicken finger and pizza crowd who are just little bitches who only eat "adult" versions of items found only on kids menus then act like they are some Michelin rated chef.
We all know you are full of shite...much like the fingernails of the people preparing your food.

I have eaten many amazing restaurants, and more that were absolutely disgusting. I have also worked with enough meth heads in restaurants to know what goes on behind the plate in these kitchens. The only people who can bash Corral, are those that fix everything at home.
