I think Alabama had the ball on Auburn's 5 yard line and it was around the time when Trent dropped that TD pass and Bama had to settle for a FG. After Bama didn't convert on 3rd down, Verne said "Bama will have to punt now."

you know that Verne is an idiot when my whole family is sitting around and all of the men have their mouths open....shocked...and my mother and wife are laughing at the "Lou" Saban comment. They were laughing and me, my father, my brother, and three uncles couldn't utter a comment because we were blown away by the fact that Lundquist had already screwed up a name before the players took the field.

Do you think if the SEC fans joined forces, so every time there's a 2:30 CBS game, the crowds would have signs making fun of Verne and the network as a whole? Derogatory chants directed towards CBS in the stands??? I'm sure that the LSU student section could whip up a good one. at least an "I Hate CBS" fb group. I really hate their 20 minute commercial breaks every 3 minutes, and Verne, oh how I can't stand that man. I have to mute him when he comes on during The Masters too.
