And I mention our first half play because if it continued everyone would be saying 9-10 wins because of how dominant we were, so you see the potential.

Calling for coaches heads after one game when we just came off our best back to back years in 4 decades is stupid and I'm proud the om posters on this board haven't acted like idiots. The season can still be salvaged, but we've obviously got a long way to go

This, unfortunately, is what sets Ole Miss fans apart from the rest of the SEC. No team's fan, not even Vandy, would have watched their team lose to a 2nd level college team and feel they were good. Nobody.
This is absolutely correct! When Arkansas lost to the Citidal the current coach at JSU was our head coach......................but when the sun came up the next morning he was filling out his unemployment papers, because he was fired on the spot, before he left the field after the game was finished.
Only Old Myth would find view this glass as half full, but hey I'm glad they do, because maybe that means they will retain HDN for a few more years!

I honestly think HDN will coach there until he retires. He and Ole Miss are a match made in heaven. He's gonna win 5-8 games a year, never more. He's gonna lose to D2 teams, but he's gonna pull an upset or 2 every year, and that's all OM will remember.
Ole Miss fans will be thrilled to finish 3rd or 4th in the West, and go to Shreveport for a bowl appearance. Nutt will get them there.

That is like the 3rd time someone in this thread has mentioned Shreveport. Do you idiots not understand that a SEC team has a better shot at playin in the rose bowl next year than Shreveport?

I don't know what this means.
I was talking about Ole Miss. Please don't tell me you think Ole Miss has a better shot at playing in the Rose Bowl, than the Indy Bowl. Is that what you're saying?

Yeah or any other bowl game the SEC isn't affiliated with anymore

OK, how's this:
Ole Miss will be content to go to the Papa John's bowl game every year.
Accurate, no?

The Gator Bowl is taking over the Indy Bowl.

Nah we wouldn't, but at least it's just a stupid opinion instead of an impossible one

They shouldn't be.

I disagree with the other Ole Miss fans about taking positives from this game. We lost to JACKSONVILLE STATE. We scored 3, THREE, TROIS, TRES, THUURRRREEEEE in the second half against JSU! Anything you saw that made us look dominant happened because we were playing a 1AA team. Remember when Bolden had all of his good games against non-SEC teams last year and couldn't do as well against SEC? Well our RBs had good games against an OVC team again. Great! Remember when Snead had great games against D-1AA teams and everyone complained about him all year? Stanley or Masoli didn't do any better than what Snead would have done against a 1AA team. But I'm not someone who wants to fire everyone. I think it can be fixed. The defense can be fixed. It's mostly the same players from a good defense last year. Was what so ridiculous to me was the fact that we couldn't adjust during the entire second half. We would run zone. It wouldn't work, and we'd continue to run zone. Players like Damien Jackson, Wayne Dorsey, and O-linemen will get better. It needs to happen quickly though if we want to make a bowl game. I think Masoli is going to be the guy. I think we'll bounce back because we have enough talent to do so. I think we'll beat Tulane and ULL for sure. I think we'll beat some SEC teams, maybe even Fresno. Just don't act like there is definite offensive imrovements after playing JSU. We may have a better O-line and QB than last year, but not yet.
