Would much rather a 6 team playoffs. Top 2 get a bye week. 5 conference champs get an automatic spot, with the final spot being to the best team left.

I’d say seven and #1 gets a bye in the playoffs...

No - #4 is just the bonus team, anybody left out of the 4 spot can't be upset

No we do not "need" to go to eight teams .... There would still be controversy and then you would be crying to go to sixteen! We do not need teams with two or three or more loses in the playoffs!

LOL So if a couple of teams with 4 or 5 loses pulls upsets and wins conference championships they would be playing for a national championship .........................HELL NO!

Why not expand to 32.......or 64 ?

Or limit FBS to 128 and have a 128 team playoff!
Everybody in!
Everybody in!

If a 4 loss conference champion team survived the playoffs and then went on to beat Bama in the National championship, they deserve it. Playoffs should start at the conference championship.

Fully agree with this, Been saying this the past two season. 6 teams is perfect!
6 teams is just as stupid as 8. Then there would be an argument over 7.
There are enough games already. Players are banged up enough already.

March Madness will be here soon enough for you. This isn't fricking basketball.

Yeah. It’s fricking football. That format is essentially the exact same thing as the NFL playoffs system.

Fine. Go watch the fricking NFL that has a 16 game regular season and puts over a third of its teams in the postseason. frick that.

No thanks. Don’t water it down and remove the importance of this last weekend.

1 Alabama 13-0
2 Clemson 13-0
3 Notre Dame 12-0
4 Oklahoma 12-1 (1-1 vs Texas)
4 = enough; ensures 2 best/most deserving in.
Georgia - lost 2, lost bigly to LSU
Ohio St - lost bigly to 6-6 Purdue, close calls
Michigan - lost 2, lost bigly to OSU
UCF - would go about 4-4 vs an SEC schedule
2 Clemson 13-0
3 Notre Dame 12-0
4 Oklahoma 12-1 (1-1 vs Texas)

Nah, its all good. The four teams that deserve to be there are there. Georgia had a shot last night and blew it. UCF is a fricking joke and would get crushed by any of the top four. If they go to 8 it makes the regular season games less important. Teams can dog it off and still make the playoffs. If they go to 8 they need to get rid of the conference championship games and just put the best 8 in and then people will bitch about that. They system is working just as it was meant to work. If Georgia and Alabama were both undefeated yesterday, both would be in the top four today. The reality is that Georgia is a two loss team and they lost to a lower middle tier LSU team. They blew it.
