Didn’t you have all of your best players before they got injured/opted out?
Regardless, still not sure a coach who got beat by 30 by a domestic abuser is what we’re looking to hire. But we still might, just to frick with our little brothers in Fayetteville.

He beat that domestic abuser when it mattered against a much better basketball program. One that actually makes the second weekend regularly.

I'd rather have a coach that is passionate over a coach that is complacent.
Basketball is Musselmans entire life. And it shows.
Now could he handle certain situations better with his demeanor? Sure he could, but some people are just wired that way.
I, for one, am glad we have one of the best coaches in the game.
This year looks like it might be his toughest battle yet. Losing your two best players to injury. Losing that scoring, spacing, efficiency is hard to replace.
I have faith he will concoct some formula for success. Last night I think the plan would have worked, but certain players were selfish, terrible at ft line, and awful from deep. Along with way too many sloppy turnovers when an extra pass would have resulted in a wide open look.

I don't see what the problem is with Muss. So he is a prick when he wins and a prick when he loses. Any person can say that to any opposing coach because they are the antagonist to the team that are a fan of. Those are just normal emotional responses to outcomes of games. I don't want the head coach to be a robot.
Look at Muss he is an arse for taking off his shirt and celebrating with players and students!
How dare Muss question the perfect calls of the officials! He should be a good boy and sit on his hands!

Bruce Pearl has a 30 year history of NCAA violations and shenanigans but Muss is the bad boy. Auburn fans are funny.

The SEC in general has no shortage of sleezy basketball coaches who are jerks.

Texas has much more experience than Arkansas who had a bunch of barely out of high school players that never played with each other before.
Muss needed an exhibition game like that to test his players and see where they stood. They aren't where they need to be then and are still having problems who they want on the floor right now.

This team will continue to struggle without Nick Smith unless someone takes his spot.
I believe team chemistry is lacking and it causes a disruption in the flow of the game. They will have bad games with teams that have an experience edge.
This wasn't a good team coming out despite what rankings they had. You don't know how good they will be until conference play. Right now Arkansas is bad as in play but still has a lot of talent. They will have to improve and still go through growing pains.

Circa 2000-2010 definitely.
Today though? I don't think so. There are some who are sleazy but aren't assholes. There are some who are assholes but don't come across as sleazy. Wade is the only one I can think of who was both recently.

He has had two NCAA issues. One was lying about a BBQ and the other was because an assistant was encouraging his best players to leave the team.
Yep, 30 years of NCAA issues.

The horror!
Kind of like a coach who yells too much and takes his shirt off after a win. Horrid behavior!
