Then what are we all doing here in this thread?

That's why you don't promote your baseball coach to be the AD.

Well LSU did it and it turned out pretty well back in the day

We're not calling for Muschamp to be fired for going 8-4 or 7-5. We want him gone because in year 4 we'll probably win 3 or 4 games at most. That gets you fired anywhere.

Gosh we really did get close there, didn't we? We were so close to having the opportunity to do the impossible back in those 2011-2013 years. I could almost taste it.

We finished #4 in the country by the end of the 2013 season.

How did it ever get this bad this quick? There's only a few programs out there that have managed to screw up their programs worse than us and I can't even begin to imagine putting up with what they do.

22 million. Just a big yikes.

True...South Carolina's all those things and I didn't mean to diminish those aspects about SCar. South Carolina's a beautiful state (y'all be careful and be safe with Dorian coming your way).

But, having a long-time tradition of winning is one of those things that the Gamecocks don't have. Today, recruits want to play at the best places that have a chance to win a national title. It may have always been this way, but not anything like it is today.

You guys have done more with less than most schools have accomplished in the country. My hats off to you. But, you've got to give Will more time. I still think Carolina's going to be competitive this year.

Considering the buyout mentioned in this thread, I'm sure he is going to get as much time as he wants.

God help us.

I agree with this. Stoops didn't get us to a bowl game in his first 3 seasons even. But we stuck with him (because if we reset the program, who tf was gonna fix it) and hes done ok thus far.
In year 2 Muschamp got South Carolina 9 wins. That aint easy after South Carolina was on verge of being a dead program. I think he's earned a little more time.
