To any fan of the SEC, tell me how your defense would've fared against the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 10th, 41st, 61st, 79th, 89th, and 113th ranked passing offenses.
Love how the Big 12 still claims TAMU to make a point! LOL
Let's break down your post.
#2.. Baylor. They beat you with a defense ranked 119th. You were ranked 82? Conference game.
#4.. OSU.. You didn't play yourself and count that did you?
#5.. Oregon. See Auburn, but I did not realize that Oregon was big 12 and that OSU played them.
7th.. Arizona.. Big 12, defense ranked 118th. Beat you.
10th..W Virgins. Big 12, ranked 108th.
We can stop here. Let's put it in perspective shall we. Of the 13 teams you faced, 10 of them are listed as some of the worst defenses in the country. You face 1 top 20 defense. That's it.
If you can't have great stats playing those defense, you don't deserve a team.

I think state can give OSU a game. First game of the year normally means it takes some time for an offense to get going. Force some turnovers and its certainly not out of the question.

Top defenses from last year, so if LSU would be a challenge yet UF was 5th?

Btw you see a big 12 team on there?

Well it took me a while to scan down to find OSU's defensive ranking but I finally found it..

Let's look at point 2
Control clock.
You lost to Texas. They had the ball on offense more that 36 minutes. 36:36 to be exact.
You lost to K St. They had the ball 38 minutes on offense.
OU.. had the ball 36:13 minutes.
Baylor.. 33 minutes
See a theme here??
Even lowly Kansas held your offense to 20 points by controlling the clock.

If anything, Russell would've declared early, not transfer.
If Tyler Russell is that much of a bitch, I hope he plays every down this year.

Georgia's defense isn't that great, but you're vastly underrating Florida's defense.

You do realize how rankings work don't you? Because I don't really think you do. So let me break it down for you on a simple level. See, when a team is say ranked 50th in a defensive category and they play a team that kicks the living dog crap out of them and racks up lots of points and yards, that defensive ranking takes a dive. Now, the better the offenses you face, the worse that ranking is going to plummet.
So, if you want to put it in perspective smart arse, I'll use your theory.
Georgia was ranked the #8 Pass Defense in the nation last year right? Well lets see what passing offenses they faced.
#15 Tenn (gave up 280+ through the air and 44pts)
#49 Ole Miss
#59 S.C.
#60 Florida Atl.
#75 Bama
#76 Missouri
#80 Vandy
#88 Nebraska
#95 Buffalo
#102 Kentucky
#112 Auburn
#114 Florida
#115 Georgia Tech
#120 IN THE FCS!! Georgia Southern
Georgia only faced 3 teams all year with a passing offense in the top HALF of the 120 teams in college football!
Oklahoma State's defense had to face the following passing offenses:
#2 Texas Tech
#4 Baylor
#5 OU
#10 WVU
#23 Arizona
#41 Texas
#42 La. Lafayette
#55 Purdue
#61 TCU
#79 Iowa State
#89 KSU
#113 Kansas
Now, there's a big parity in the offenses that these teams had to face. Almost HALF of Oklahoma State's schedule was Top 25 in the country in passing. Is Oklahoma State's Defensive ranking that bad because the offenses they faced were so good? Are the SEC's defensive rankings so high, because the offenses they face are so bad?

OMG, are you really that dumb? You realize that OSU is a HUNH team that is only surpassed by Oregon by snaps per minute in a game? We don't care if you have the ball for 45: of the game. We are scoring as fast a possible and will make you take a 8-10 minute drive to try and score. You are going to make a mistake and turn it over and we go score again quickly. Here your turn. Time of Possession is a worthless stat if one of the teams don't need time to score.

My point to this was exactly that. Georgia was ranked the #8 passing defense last year? Seriously? They didn't face an offense with a pulse that threw the ball!! Of course their ranking will be high. Oklahoma State on the other hand faced 5 Top 25 passing offenses! Of course their defensive ranking was going to be lower.

Why... Why write all that shite? Ban bet one of these guys and be done with it. They play in 9 days, we will know then

I wish you guys would quit using this stat. Houston was #1. Oregon was #7. OSU was 11th or so. 3 teams MSU played last year ran more snaps per minute than Oregon.

Real teams? Like BCS teams? How'd you do against them? Your answer is the point

How'd that work out for them vs the AU's and LSU's D?

No, but you are making a strong case for yourself in that area.
The question is SIMPLE. Did teams beat you that controlled the clock? That answer is yes. All except for Kansas who ranked 94th in offense. But they still proved my point... they limited your offense to 20 points.
