that is, um, a weak response. UGA wants wins. who gives a rat's arse how well-perceived the other teams are. UGA players and coaches sure as hell don't.

I assume we'll play Auburn September 30. Of course we could just disband the program.

That seems rather strong. I mean, the op seems to indicate that the SEC will be broken after the next couple of weekends, so I was just wondering.

Your team won one game and you think you invented the SEC.

Everyone, except the Bama dickriders in the west, already knows the SEC is mediocre outside of Alabama.

It is interesting that our victory over LSU is because they are bad, they suck, the coaching is bad, they have declined, LSU OL/DL are not elite anymore and on.

It takes time for perceptions to change. And....it is changing for Miss. State. Slowly, but it is changing.

I think the LSU game came as such a shock because they were thought to have a really good team this year, and most thought Mississippi State was rebuilding.
A 30 point victory tends to make people readjust their expectations a bit. Look at the posts on the board. Some are trolling you, but many feel like you are the second best team in the SEC. Sounds like respect to me.

Interestingly enough, State was a 6 point loss (UF 21-15) away from sharing the SEC title with UGA in 1980 (UGA won the NC that year by the way). So while we have not won a Natty, we have had some tremendous teams over the years that came up a little bit short but were not far off from being among the best.

I have always thought highly of MSU, but please, please do not make the mistake of your lil' brother up in the north portion of the state, now that you guys are being successful. Please act like you have been there before. Nothing smacks of poor desperate trash than acting like a pretentious prick when you win a game. Hold you head, don't instigate trash talk, let it come to you, and for whatever the win, for God's sake don't rush the field and tear down a goal post. That is the epitome of poor trash. Ole Miss is still paying for that transgression, and like I have told them before. until they gather every one of those pieces, have them blessed by a gypsy fortune teller from Greenwood, melted into one big glob and buried at the 50 yard line, their troubles will not end.

Bama's going break it off in MSU worst this year then they did last year 51-3 Now that's breaking something.

Believe me...we Georgia fans feel your pain. 2007, 2012, etc. etc.

This should be a great game! I hope it is, anyway! I understand that my definition of a great game and yours is probably different!

Because we clearly have the same defense that we had last year. Do I think we beat bama? Absolutely not. Mostly because Mullen coaches like garbage against Saban. Do I think we can make it a close game at home? Ya.

At the end of the year, one team is going to win the SEC and one team the Natty (some years it is the same team). If we are not that team but nonetheless have a very good team, does that make us a failure? I would hope not. I would prefer to enjoy the success more than I lament the failures.

Everybody should take that attitude. College football has gotten to the point that if you don't win the Championship, then you are a failure.
