LMAO!! Not even CLOSE!

Good lord.

Had elite recruits at Oklahoma too.

He was there for 1 season. He turn OU from last place in the conference in offense to 1st place. His offense was never shut down that year... BUT THE DEFENSE in those loses gave up 38 points in every loss.

So again.. pure ignorance.

During Leach's 10 years at Texas Tech, he out-recruited Mississippi State 3 times...He wasn't even on par then.

Most of Leach's classes at Tech were ranked in the 30s-40s nationally. MSU recruits a little better than that on average, but not by a whole lot. Aren't yall usually in the 20's? Maybe 30's?

Not really a huge difference. A little better, sure. But it's not like he's jumping from garbage classes to top 10 and loaded with blue chips. Not sure why that's such a controversial thing to say.

Are you beat down that much? - Hell yes. Every now and then there is hope, but it's eventually crushed 100% of the time. It's a pattern.

Has you football history trained you to have a loser mentality? - I decoupled my personal life, happiness, and success from college sports a long time ago. I can watch State and enjoy their wins, without getting too upset about losses.

Mullen took you to new levels and #1 - then shite the bed against Ole Miss, Alabama, and lost the bowl game to Georgia Tech. Afterwards, there were constant rumors of Dan leaving Starkville.

I did enjoy the heck out of the LSU game. Definitely more optimistic about the season than I was, but I still have doubts because it was only one game against an opponent who didn't look very well prepared.

Why do you continue to talk out of your arse? Leach had 1 class in the top 30 during his tenure at Texas Tech, a majority in the 40s with a few 70s sprinkled in. We've had top 30 classes every year since 2012. Just do a little research and you won't be such a shitty poster.

Who's making stuff up?

Fine, I took a minute to run the numbers.

10 years at TT: Leach's classes averaged 46.1 nationally. 5 of the 10 were ranked in the 30's or better, but 2 bad classes down in the 70's drag the overall average down for the span. Take out those two outliers and it 39.1.

MSU over the last 10 years averages 27.4 nationally.

So on average the talent level of MSU today, vs. TT during Leach's 10 years there is about 10-12 spots higher in national recruiting ranking.

Y'all may consider that a huge improvement, but in my opinion, outside the top 5-10 classes with all blue chips, a lot of that 15-50 range is a crapshoot of splitting hairs of roughly equal players. I just don't see a massive difference there.

This is where you are wrong. Big difference in top 25 and almost 40.

See above. Interesting you choose 30 as the cutoff point. Most of MSUs classes are just inside the top 30. Most of Leach's at TT were just outside.

You chose 30 and you said on par. It's not even close. Are you just choosing to ignore the two 70+ classes and the multitude of 40+? You're wrong. Just take the L and try and save what little credibility you have left.

On that we can agree to disagree. No real way to prove one way or the other.

I just don't see a huge difference on a national scale of a team that recruits 27th vs 39th. Both will be solid teams, capavle of good seasons and upset wins, but neither will challenge for a title. But that's my opinon.

After running the numbers I was pretty darn close. 7 of Leach's 10 TT classes fell right into the range I suggested for TT. As did 8 of MSU's last 10.

19 spot difference isn't "about on par". If it is, then my golf game is about on par with Tiger Woods.
