Is Holder that big son bitch that looks like he's throwing for a slow pitch softball game and then the bottom drops out?

Yes and no. He's a big sumbitch that has the ball in the mitt before the hitter swings.

Yes he is. He has a nasty 12-6 curve.

I thought that was his name. Saw him last week. Ball starts head high and finishes at the knees.

Yeah it is by far his best pitch. His fastball is pretty mediocre.

His fastball is anything but mediocre when he has control of his curve. You don't have to throw 98 when they can't catch up to an 88 fastball after the curve. Ross Mitchell couldn't break a pane of glass with his fastball but it's exceptional because of the way he uses it.

The only thing that frustrates me with Holder is not having a 3rd pitch, at least for show. A simple circle change, 3 finger change or even a cut FB, could do wonders for him. Yes, he's had a remarkable career thus far at State but I'd like for him to have that "other" pitch to be able to show, to keep the hitters off his FB & big deuce. Sometimes he falls in love with the breaking ball and it gets him in trouble. Would for sure help him at the next level as well. He won't make it long with an 88-90 mph and a breaking ball.

I was talking to him a while back and he told me he has a slider. I have yet to see it in person.

Slider or cut FB very similar pitch. Wished he'd show it some then. A change down in the zone, would be another sick weapon for him. I just can't understand why he or BT hasn't developed or worked on it. Even if it's just for show, when up in the count.

Absolutely. He really needs a 3rd pitch. I have heard he has had a problem with some numbness in one of his fingers on the pitching hand. I have also heard he has had problems with blisters. Not sure which is true but he has not started the way he ended last year.

Yeah I had heard he had some finger issues earlier in the year also. I believe that's why he was sidelined for a week or two. Yeah he definitely struggled early on but has pitched better since SEC play started imo.
