Welcome to the board but the Delta. It is the armpit of Mississippi.

FALSE. The Delta is the only thing that saves the state.

Nothing is better than backup from a guy with some of the same blood running through his veins as I do.

Wow...hadn't heard that name in a long while. Stewart Patridge put it to us one night in the early 90s.

Jonathan Nichols came from there as well. As did LSU's pitcher Louis Coleman. To Bulldog6, I don't know if I can handle another "you" on the board

I didn't know they had so many literate ones. That darn interweb is spreading to all parts.

Saves the state from WHAT? They have the Highest Unemployment rates in Delta Counties, the worst Public school standardized test scores, and a horrible Economy with more and more people moving out of the Delta every year.

IMO the Mississippi Gulf Coast is what Saves the state with its Solid Post Katrina economy boostered by their award winning casinos.

I agree. Greenville is one of the worst bigger cities to live in in the state.

The Delta is the only part of the State I would REFUSE to live in. Its just a dump with nothing good in its horizon due to the lack of corporation between the black and white communities.

The casinos on the coast are as good as some in Vegas. The Hard Rock and Beau Rivage Casinos are as good as it gets if gambling is your thing.

I have relatives from Greenville/Leland. I think they went to St. Joseph's. Most are Mississippi State fans/alums--a few Ole Miss alums.
