Not sure why everyone thinks Msu @ aggie is a L for MSU.
Not only have we consistently been better than them (see recent h2h records) but they will be worn down by the time they play us this year as they have a hellacious early schedule.
For the record, we normally start the "october aggie swoon".

Everybody thinks State is going to take a huge step back on defense. I don't think so. A step back? A little. A huge step back? No. Stevens was likely going to be the starter at Penn State. Franklin wasn't going to name a starter until almost week 1. Stevens might not be our best grad transfer. Zuber played WR at Kansas State last year. He accounted for 700 yds receiving and 6 receiving yds. He also returns punts and Kickoffs.

You lost your entire defensive line, which was the best unit on your team. I do expect you to be better offensively, but you will absolutely take a big step back on defense.

It’ll still be a good defensive line. Top 1/2 in the SEC. Defense will still be top 25-30 nationally imho. This is because all the LBs and most of the DBs are back (Abram will be missed, but Brian Cole will be back from injury). But it’ll absolutely be a noticeable step back.
