A down year for MSU while Mullen is there is probably something like 6-6, 7-5.
As I stated earlier - he'll make them more consistent than they have ever been if they leave him alone and just let him do his thing.
He's a good coach.

The way I see it he gets three.
First one- we were rebuilding.
Second one- don't worry I fired the OC
Third one- don't worry I fired the DC
Fourth one- leaves in the middle of night Tubs style to coach non Power 5 team.

I think most of us thought it would be a rebuilding year. I predicted State could possibly go 8-4 but I didn't expect to lose to S. Alabama either. A realistic goal is 6-6 and for that too happen, State will have to beat Auburn a week from Saturday. Most fans think that 2017 will be the year to rebound . Dan Mullen should stay as long as he is revelant. Only thing that fans have against Mullen is why does Mullen run a 160 lb back up the middle and losing to Ole Miss. Me personal, I don't like his game prep. State gets behind early by a few scores and can never claw their way back to win the game.

LSU is a game better than State? LSU could honestly go 3-5 in conference play. I'm not trolling. I'm stating the truth. LSU will beat Auburn and Missouri but after that , it's some toss-ups. LSU could go 7-1 too. I hate to break it to you but LSU ain't beating Bama.
