They aren't overrated...I mean, sure, they play in a conference that isn't very good, but they are still 10-1.
GT with CPJ can compete.

I think they can compete with most teams. The triple option can be a great equalizer when they play teams.

Their quarterback can't throw the ball at all so you've only got a week to prepare for half an offense.
Put eight in the box and tell evryone to stay at home. I guarandamntee you The Bear's teams would be able to stop it with only one week of practice.

No matter what, they're fun to watch. I hope they beat Duke or whoever in their conference championship and then win their bowl game.

How can they be more overrated than Boise St.? Boise hasn't played anyone all year. Remember a few years back after they won a bunch of games the year before and then opened at UGA and got smacked.
Boise cannot beat any SEC team it might see in a bowl.

If special teams didn't absolutely blow against LSU it would have been a little different.

Johnson is a hell of a coach and is starting to get his offensive linemen on the team. Last year GT was down scholarships from probation and had to convert 2 tight ends to the offensive line, they performed well but they can't do it all.
Last season GT was among the top 10 teams with plays of 20 yards or more, they had trouble grunting out the short 3 yards for a first down but had no problems with randomly blowing a 40 yard run.
In the "blowout" GT had the same YPC, YPP, and total yardage as LSU in that game. What GT also lead in was 4 turnovers through ints and fumbles most of which were at the end of long drives.
Johnson took a paycut to go from Navy to GT because he "has something to prove" that is a quote from him.

"Vandy and MSU both put up 31 points on ACC's best team!"
While those great defenses held GT to just an average of 49 points and 540 yards. How have the SEC offenses done against Vandy and MSU? GT obviously isn't a great defensive team but the offense is exceptional.

Georgia Tech would beat TCU, Boise, and Cincinnati soundly imho.
