most over rated coach in the SEC?
Overated is a term that is relavent, only to ones personal opinions, so, here are my opinions.
Houston Nutt - I think he is motivater. He gets his guys up to play for certain games and falls flat for the rest of them. Comes up with an awsome game plan at least twice a year, though.
Les Miles - It does not matter who was the coach of the 05 tigers, no one could have done a better job, under those circumstances, than he did. I'll say this, he gives the Tigers a unique personallity.
Urban Myer - has surprised me the most. I did not think bringing that spread Offense into the SEC was going to work against SEC defenses. WRONG! It could have something to do with the right QB at the right time.
Mark Richt - Damned good football coach, just unfortunate timing, like 04 Auburn. Could easily have a championship if the cards had fallen a little different, or if he wasn't in the SEC.
Steve Spurrier - I wouldn't say overrated, did anyone really expect him to take S. Carolina to SEC prominence, other than Game Cock fans.
Nick Saban - A love/hate relationship with LSU fans. They are struggling with what he has done FOR LSU, and what he has done TO LSU. Anyhow, great recruitor, great program builder and a great defensive mind. He is a great fit at Alabama.
Bobby Patrino - He would be my pick as most overated. An awful lot of hype for dominating the Big East, although, he did do it with Louisville, so, the jury is still out.
Rich Brook and Bobby Johnson - Not considered worth rating in most peoples minds. I would say they have each had impressive seasons at Kentucky and Vandy.
Kiffin, Chizik and Mullen - Of course, you can't rate these guys. Their resumes appear impressive, only time will tell.
I think part of the SECs recent dominance is due to the collection of theses guys.
So, who is the most Overated, Come on!
+1
You guys that are voting most OVER-RATED for Richt are literally insane. the word wasn't disappointing... it was OVER-RATED. NO ONE CAN BE OVER RATED if they have that many wins at one place.
other than that, i think i agree with everything this post says.

One has to be considered a good coach to be overrated. I don't think Kiffen qualifies
This same for cheezit
Richt and Spurrier
Meyer and Saban are top coaches. Petrino we'll see. Nutt is what he is, a good gameday coach mediocre at best recruiter.
Spurrier isn't the same coach he was, and the only reason Richt is still at UGA is he is a nice fellow with a nice family.(And UGA is a pussy)

Hey what bowl game was Arkansas in?
The "Nunya Bowl" Petrino will right the ship but it will take a little time after the TCTWF stopped recruiting...
At least we stayed on the field with LSU and did not embarass ourselves like you did in your bowl game against them....Now stay in your ACC basketball conference and leave us the hell alone

We won 9 games. How many did you guys win?

In an inferior conference...You will not win this argument

If you fire Richt, who do you hire? Firing Mark Richt would be one of the dumb god damn things I've ever seen in CFB.

It would be a better than firing Tubbs for chizik, but tell me what has Richt accomplished?
He's had a possible(probable?) 1st overall pick QB, 1st round RB, 1st team all SEc future 1st round WR and couldn't do shite with the team.
How about when he gets to a bowl game? WVUlol

I agree. He's made some bad moves and had some bad breaks. He's still one of the better coachs in the league.

However he's not going to get them to a BCSCG unless he coaches till he's Bobby Bowden's age.

Nutt will pull out some great wins.
Also, look at his record against KY and Vandy. Not exactly the foundation championships are built on.

Nice of you to point out one of the two bowl losses Richt has had. 6-2 in bowls is certainly a fireable offense.
Was this past season disappointing, yes, but jesus h christ, prior to Richt, we were dying to have a 10 win season, much less think it is a disappointment. I would dare venture to say that most "pussy" fans or administrations around the country would love to have our results.
Private Pyle has apparently been cloned.

Most people here thought that Georgia would drop three games this year due to a hard schedule preseason. Now that has happened, and people are saying that Richt underachieved. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Believe me or not, but UGA has seen the height Richt can bring them to.

Unfortunately, I agree. But I think that he will coach there till he dies.

13-1 SEC Champs? Seems that some years that's proof of greatness..others it's just not as great.
