It's funny we had this thread a while back on the msb, same retorts from y'all, then someone suggest, why don't we send this to mike pereira, then low an behold same scenario happens, mike comments that play is called correctly, then silence.
Did you send in the interference call under the same circumstances on Steltz earlier in the game?
Or how about the David Irons 'play' in the end zone in the 1st half that I linked above?

The players ability to make a play on the ball.
ETA: I dont even care about the game. Im not convinced we would have scored anyway, we were horrible in the redzone

Of which, Doucet's was hindered.
You know, because he was held.

Nope, LSU player could not have caught the ball and did not have the ability to make a play on the ball. Well unless he defies physics.

Nope. Again unless he is able to change directions while in the air to be able move 2 yards closer to the ball, again all while in the air. Quite a feat if possible

When was he doing that? Because it wasn't that play.

The ball was uncatchable. Same thing happened in the nfl this year, Carolina game I believe.
According to the rule book, no pi.
Mike Pereira disagrees:
But what happens when the contact occurs before the tip? A closer look at the replay indicates that's what happened. If interference rules end when a defensive player touches the pass, doesn't that mean they are still enforced before that point?
That's what I thought, as did longtime NFL executive Mike Perreira, who was analyzing the game on Twitter. Pereira examined the play several times and concluded: "the interference clearly occurred before the tip."
Pereira acknowledged he was surprised by the decision. There are only two explanations here: Anderson couldn't find irrefutable evidence that the tip occurred before the contact, or he simply made a mistake. The number of camera angles available on Monday night makes the first possibility highly unlikely.

Straight face, do you know the definition of PI?

Ah yes, I see your point. Allow me to illustrate how this did, in fact, happen.
You see, when Doucet initially jumped up, he was jumping towards the ball. But then the force of the Auburn player running into him forced him to change directions in mid-air and move sideways, allowing the other Auburn defender to then have a chance at tipping the ball. Which was a fortunate circumstance as that was not his primary goal. He was trying to interfere with Doucet as well, but at the point of when Doucet was going to make the grab because he was jumping towards the ball.
That is indisputable.

Oh so he was going to land, change directions, move 2 yards, then catch the ball?
Seriously you can't be serious. How does one change directions in mid air and move 2 yards? I am interested in this new route running ability. Ole Gus can surely develop a play for this.

Well you started off with a lie, let's see how this goes

Well yes the alternate reality you've described is indisputable.

If we hadn't been in so much shock it may well have happened.
Not only was Dooley an awful coach the few times he wasn't awful, he was the unluckiest coach I've ever seen. Absolutely astounding how bad his luck was - the entire time he was here analysts and tv announcers talked about how snake-bitten we were under him.
