This seems to be a misrepresentation. According to his attorney's statement, this text was sent after Miller was already on the way.

I'm sure the police corroborated that, which would have been pretty simple to do.

ETA: My phone doesn't believe "corroborated" is a word...

It’s amazing Alabama fans have convinced themselves a dumb arse college kid is unable to read a text message while driving

Yep. Cameras outside of all the clubs and bars on the strip plus Miller’s dashcam and access to Miles’ texts. By all accounts, Miller cooperated with the investigator and Miller’s story matched the investigators findings

Regarding prosecution, “muh corruption” is pretty much the only card they have left

What goalpost is being moved? He received a text that requested a gun to a heated altercation and not once decided to pause before doing so. How does being en route change that?

I mean, I don't know about you, but most people I know don't text and drive. It's honestly very strange to me that you assume otherwise.

Yeah it does. There's 100 percent no doubt that that woman would not have been shot in the face and murdered had Miller not done what he did. That you can't even admit that is sick as hell.

A CHILD is without his mom. And you're worried about a privileged dipshit because he plays sports? frick that noise. And go back and check, my disappointment when AJ Johnson was accused of rape. I was heartbroken but I am glad the process played out. And he was found not guilty.

yeah college kids definitely don’t do that. A dumbass 20 year old college student driving around with a gun past midnight is surely a seat-belt-wearing speed-limit-abiding citizen with his phone off for sure

Well sure, but that doesn't mean he did anything wrong.

No, because he clearly did nothing wrong.

That he didn't know was there.

They'll pull you over for this in Alabama. I really don't find that hard to believe at all.

Yes it does. It makes him both morally culpable and legally culpable. I don't think the kid should fry. I think his case should've gone to a Grand Jury and if they decided it was worthy of taking to court then he should have his chance to prove his case or plead to a lesser charge.

I believe 100 percent that the justice system must work the same for all and it playing out is so much more important than a player. Even ones we cheer for and even when it hurts.

And I believe playing AND coaching are privileges. Not so much as a suspension. And a woman dead sticks in my craw.

No, it doesn't.

ETA: If he truly did not know the gun was in his car, and we have no reason to believe he did, and the text really was sent when he was already on the way, then he holds no moral or legal culpability here at all.

She is dead because Myles handed the gun to the killer. Miller never handled the weapon.

Are you this invested in black on black crime? Happens every day - i'm sure the world could use people like you and the people on this board to combine resources to stop or hinder it but I'm guessing not.

If you can't even bring yourself to moral culpability. You have a broken soul. I'm not super religious in the church going sense but I do believe in God and the teachings of Jesus. And your stance is simply wrong. It's blinded by your fandom.

Ridiculous. People aren't culpable for the wrongdoings of others just because they drove a vehicle somewhere.

Miller BROUGHT it. It doesn't matter a whit who handed it.
