Doesn't Alabama do this for every opponent?

And you you do realize if you lose this game there is a chance you dont play in the SECCG???

That's insightful, same way A&M losing to an SEC East opponent could keep A&M from the SECCG. Every SEC game matters, slick.

he getting sad Bama doesn't think this game is any bigger. Now Aggy has to justify all the reasons why this is the biggest game in the history of Alabama football. When in reality it's only the biggest game in A&M history.

No one thinks it's the biggest game in Bama history.

It's the biggest regular season game of the year. We don't need to enumerate the reasons. You're reminded every time you turn on ESPN.

Quit bleeding all over the thread. Just look at you. All worked up hurling disjointed insults because of the hype this game's receiving. You just can't stand it. This is the most expensive regular season ticket in history. The average price is $50 more than the Most Boring Game of the Century. Rather than exhibiting your hurt over it, take it up with the WSJ or just deal with it.

On the contrary, to real SEC fans, it was one of the best games ever. The tension because of how precious each possession was, could not even be described.

I was able to get a ticket for $350, and felt fortunate. It was a converted student-guest ticket, so I was able to sit in the lower level ends one in my old fraternity's section. Literally had to get there, 2 hours early. And that's WITH pledges saving our seats.

That game featured 2 of the best defenses of all-time. Just go look at the roster. The offenses had some serious playmakers too.

The game of the century spread was around 2-3, depending on the sports book.

This game is 7, and moving up as we get closer. No 'game of the millennium' is a touchdown spread.

This game is expensive because its the biggest home game A&M has ever had. That's really the crux of the price, and the validity of how lame A&M history is.

This game MIGHT be top-10 in importance for Bama in the past five years. Every SECCG, and BCSCG has way more importance. Not to mention a few LSU games and Iron Bowls.

I'm glad you're excited to pay lots of money for this game. If my team was in a title hunt once every blue moon, I probably would fork it over as well.

FIFY. Most Bama fans have already said this game pales in comparison to LSU-Bama in '11, and in most years for that matter. BAS in full effect in this biatch lol.

I don't agree with Bama fans often, but when I do, I give props.

It's the biggest game of the season right now.

Hell, we of all people know what a #1 vs #2 game means during the regular season.

One of you 2 could tank the season and this game would have meant jack shite.

We get it though...first time in the national spotlight during the regular season in a LONG frickING TIME.

Have your moment.

Point being Aggies are better educated, with better jobs and thus have more money than coon asses. Seems pretty standard, imo.

They do it for every opponent the entire offseason? Dont kid yourself.

You lose to us and the only other team that we could lose to would be LSU. Which will drop at least 1 game. This is only week 3 but could make or break the season for either team.

You cant possibly compare this to a #1 v #2 match up... or even a matchup in November... its the 3rd week of the season... hell honestly i am pretty sure that if LSU doesnt shite the bed this season before we come to town 11-23 that game will have more hype than this one for us.

Bama is just trying to downplay how much they really want to beat us... and acting like its just another game... which is pretty laughable.

Why would it rustle my jimmies that people pay more money to see my team play than yours? Wouldn't the rustled party reside somewhere in swamp?

We beat Bama, we win the SEC. That's pretty big, even if our history is meh.

I'm pretty sure the only party that resides in swamp with rustled jimmies is in gainesville. Tiger fans are pretty happy at the moment, tbh. I think most people want to pay because everyone outside of College Station knows what's about to happen to that squishy defense of yours.

I'll be the first to eat crow should I be wrong, but I don't think many people outside of you crotch grabbers think A&M has a chance.

Nah, not for fans of real, smash mouth football. Like a previous Bama fan said, that game was intense as hell because everyone knew every possession, every down, every yard were absolutely precious.

Where is that written exactly? No one wins the SEC in September. This just proves how out of touch with reality y'all are.

More of a chance than we did last year... and then 29-24 happened. You're just one of those people that can't accept that LSU upset Texas A&M last year, aren't you? Once you realize this is a game between two teams that both easily better than the swamp kittens, your perspective will change.

Meant to say the west.

There's only one game that presents danger after Bama--that's LSU in BR. LSU will drop more than one SEC game this year. Even if we lose to y'all in November, we win the west.

This is the difference between the LSU/Alabama game, and the A&M vs. Alabama/LSU game-- the talk between two teams that could very well beat each other has some venom, but is still has an underlying respect for each team's value and worth to the SEC. I have no doubt that while Manziel is a fantastic athlete, the Aggies defense is laughable, at best. Alabama and LSU are more complete teams than Texas A&M. Period.

And to your comment about "wealth," while Alabama as a state admittedly isn't rich by any means, The University of Alabama has become a southeastern regional school, drawing many kids from affluent southern cities the Like Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte, Tampa, etc... To the tune that the past 3 freshman classes are more out-of-state, than in-state. The school boasts a fantastic business school, a top-20 law school, and top-15 medical school. Not to mention we're pretty damn awesome at football.

So before you consider yourself the be-all, end all of the SEC (which, you're still not even the best school or program in your own state, much less even close to the wealthiest), let me leave you with this little tid-bit Bear Bryant told the junction boys at the beginning of his first camp, "I bet a lot of you boys are here right now, because you've been told you can't play for Texas."

Have fun at fish camp, son.
