Yall have been in the Big 12 entirely too long.
First off how is Sumlin going to win 9-11 games a year? Who is he going to knock off yearly to do that?

we will probably have Kyle Field completely renovated and one of the nicest facilities in CFB.
Kyle Field is well behind the majority of SEC facilities, you have to spend a ton of money to even get close to being on par
ETA: Come on Dale how could you forget State going to Atl

I didn't, same reason I didn't list Carolina.

Absolutely no argument here. Batshit Hollow has been in need of a serious renovation since 1980.
I don't imagine much could be done to improve the facilities at the other SEC schools, so a complete overhaul will make A&M that much more attractive.

It will definitely make it more attractive, and I am secretly excited about it as I want to get to see it. I wish they would hurry up...
Having said that, there is much that can be done at most places. In fact, OM, MSU, and Miz are all looking at major renovations. Razorback and Tiger are about to get serious things done as well. This will never stop and nobody will be ahead for very long. Right now BDS and Neyland are the only ones I consider really complete for a good while.

This is very true.

2010 Arkansas
Revenue: $48,524,244.00
Expenses: $22,005,104.00
Pretty clear looking at the rest of your posts you are a troll but there are 2 issues with the '10 revenue numbers as a comparison point. First off, every SEC school got over $10 million more than A&M did just in TV revenue because of the old crap Big 12 TV contract. Second, they also got other conference revenue flowing from more and better bowls as well. Third, A&M is able to get away with fewer athletic expenses than most schools because our coaches and recruits rarely have to get on an airplane. Arkie has to fly in most of their recruits, SC has to fly in a decent number.
A&M has a ridiculous amount of money sitting on the sidelines. Well over half of the people that have ever graduated from A&M have done so since 1983 and we have over 360k living alumni with almost 51k current students. Texas has also done very well compared to the rest of the country economically and we contain 26 million people, most of which live within 4 hours of our campus. The numbers are staggering.
A&M also was good while Arkie was around. We had several very good teams in the '70s and had a run of 3 straight SWC Titles from '85-87, including a beatdown of Auburn in Bo Jackson's last game in the Cotton Bowl.
I still haven't gotten a good explanation from any of you on why little ol' A&M was able to hire Bama's coach 10 years ago when Bama didn't want that to happen. If we are such a crappy destination then how could that happen?
As to USC we already came in and took your AD.
Most of all though you really can't quantify what a game changer the SEC move is for A&M. The change in coverage and perception in the state is palpable. Things that SEC folks see as normal are a big deal here in terms of coverage on the national stage. It's a massive advantage over every other school in the state.
The interesting thing to me reading this thread and similar ones is the elite school fans tend to see A&M as a big threat while the rest act as though maybe we will beat Kentucky or Ole Miss in a good year. I get it, hey if I were an Arkie fan or a Miss St fan I'd be nervous as well.

At some point, Tiger Stadium and Sanford stadium will surpass both of those for the SEC's largest by capacity. TAMU might even do it before anyone else does.

The real problem with Kyle right now is it is very unbalanced. The Zone is very nice, it's almost identical to the ones at South Carolina and The Swamp upon which it was based. The 3rd Deck is 30 years old and the rest of the stadium is REALLY old though and it has no sense of cohesion. The renovation there though is more about revenue generation and not impressing recruits. Recruits and players don't really see that, they just care about the facilities they hang out in and what the atmosphere is like and A&M is in good shape there.

Have they released any renderings of the new stadium yet?

Awaiting the renderings from Plano.

A&M will likely end up in the 100k range after the renovation with room to expand. The real objective is better seating (esp luxury seating), a cohesive stadium design, and some increase to the capacity with the ability to increase it more over time. Essentially the goal is to have 95-100k with very expensive tickets (our tickets are already the most expensive in the SEC).

This is one rendering they pulled off a presentation Populus gave but it could have nothing to do with the end design.
They are taking it in stages of reducing the options down and then finalizing it. There is still a very small chance they could do a completely new stadium on a different part of campus and a chance that they do a season away from Kyle at Reliant in order to do the renovation all at once. Smart money is on a multi year renovation where they basically do a section at a time though.

I don't understand your reasoning with A&M at #5 with tons of money.
Don't confuse what we choose to pay a particular coach with what is available. A&M is the 10th richest school in the country and EASILY the richest in the SEC, with more money than the next 4 schools combined.
Now that is definitely not to say it translates directly into the football budget of the schools, which it does not, but money will not be a limiting factor for a coach at A&M.

As you can see SC actually has a higher revenue throughout the entire athletic department than A&M does. What A&M does have over SC is the total revenue - expenses is notably higher.
Got an error clicking on your links, but according to USA Today, A&M had revenues of $87,296,532 and expenses of $78,310,805 while USCe had revenues of $83,813,226 and expenses of $80,525,711. That makes our net take substantially better than yours over all athletics.
