Spot is where the ball is when the knees hit the ground. Football 101. If you want to disect every spot you'll find a problem with most of them.

I thought that there were some really bad calls in this game but I think the freak out from hog fans is a little extreme.

Arkansas got hosed on some calls.

Their kicker still missed 2 field goals.

This......

A lot of Ole Miss fans still go irate over the Olineman who stepped on Eli's foot. But if our Award winning FG kicker wouldn't have missed 2 chip shot field goals, we would have won.

Same here.

It's not where the ball is when knee touches? That's what I thought it was? Serious question.

It is. But you can't really see if his knee is down from that view. IIRC, he kind of dove for extra yardage.

Yeah, that was another question I had but was taking it at face value. I seem to remember a generous spot on that play but not THAT much.

His knees "dove" for an additional gain?

Disregard the defenders that have him wrapped up and the defender colliding head first with him.

Let it go and make your plays, field goals, and it's a non-factor.

I agree. I thought they gave him a few more inches based on where the yellow line was. But another thing that you have to remember is that the yellow line is NOT official and often is more inaccurate the further away it is from the midfield camera.

Again, are you telling me that if a team plays poorly or fails to execute, the refs get free passes to give overly generous spots and throw bullshite flags?

Our kicker can miss every damn field goal for the rest of his career and that should have nothing to do with officials doing their job.

My question is......why are you habitually bitching on TD.com? Do you think that the refs are lurking?

If you want action, take it up with them.........not with people who could give a rats arse. WTF do you want us to do?
