Had a good talk this morning...

-Engagement between Jessica and Josh was called off 10 days prior to the accident. She gave him ring back
-Josh is a strength and conditioning coach. Not a swim team coach, although he does work with swim team. Also works with golf, track, tennis, baseball.
-Players are very upset. Not sure what to think of whole ordeal.
-Ive got confirmation this relationship was going on well before the accident took place.
-Jessica was at work last week with a knee brace on. She told Josh she fell down the stairs, not about accident.
-Josh had begged her not to take the recruiting position. He had a feeling what was going on.
-Coaches were in a meeting when accident happened Sunday. They found out via social media.
-Other coaches also knew about affair.
-Becky Petrino had no idea of all of this.

I wonder if anyone told him that this was not a good idea to continue an affair with her.

Also, do you think anyone in the administration knew?

Not if they wanted to keep their job.

Because Petrino is a "bad guy" this will only get worse for him. The media is foaming at the mouth to dig up dirt.

The OP was simply passing along scuttlebutt. No where did he say any of the "facts" justified the situation. Try again Al.

I think it was one of those deals where people knew, but ignored it.

Do you want him to stay or go?

How do most Pig fans feel? Keep him or boot him?

That confirms some of the things you had heard about.

Have you heard anything about Sugar or Cotton Bowls, that ArHog was referring too?

True.

But I can't imagine anyone thinking rationally that heard about this situation before hand could think that this would not blow up in Petrino's face and bring nothing but horrible PR to the University of Arkansas.

It's Part of the reason why I think Petrino needs to be tested for stupidity because I can't see what this guy was thinking.

I would be too. How can you expect the players from following the rules when the coach is out there breaking them. His image is forever tarnished...gotta take a hit on recruiting (if he stays) I would imagine especially when talking with the parents and all.

The worst things always tend to happen when people know information before hand but either keep quiet or ignore it completely...

I think most were comfortable with the "small town" feel of Fayatteville and the cushion they have from the major press. Regardless, Petrino has been screwing with Karma since his time at Louisville.

He certainly has no "moral authority" to correct the players. Maybe that is why he has always relied on being a dick?

Sunhog probably set the girl and BP up on their first date. Blame him.

if Ark was concerned about moral and ethical issues, it would have taken Petrino to talk for his classless, televised cursing of Les Miles at last year's LSU game...
He wins football games for Arky.
He'll get some symbolic punishment and move on undeterred.

Ummm, probably not. If you were in that situation, would you tell your boss (the head coach) to sheath his pork sword?

ETA - now there's a fark!!!
