Auburn fans, however, are about as insistent as Mississippi State fans (if not more so) that their arch-rival is the root of all evil in the world.
They are.

I think you're both very afraid of the prospects of Ole Miss actually being competitive with Auburn
Honestly, this doesn't worry me. I really could care less what Ole Miss does. I know Bama is the king of the West right now and getting to their current level as quickly as possible is what matters.

And I have a roommate that was from Opelika. Opelika/Auburn are nothing to be proud of if we are talking about towns or states
Trying to decide why knowing someone from Opelika makes you an Auburn expert?????.....what's so great about Oxford though? Dyed blonde hair and sundresses? Square Books? Sofa king what? Every town in the SEC has hot chicks, except Starkville.
(Sorry guys)(transfer now)

I have always said it is. Makes me happy to think AU is not in Alabama.

I wish Auburn was in Georgia. Instate tuition mofo's! Cost me 6 figures to go to Auburn.

Square Books?
Of course an Auburn fan would turn his nose up at the country's largest independently owned book store.

You're proud of your mom and pop book store, don't get upset that people don't share your enthusiasm.

Never said I was an expert. I have been several times, and the way he talks about his OWN hometown have led me to this conclusion. Now, why are you such an expert on Oxford. I have said it before and will say it again, Auburn fans have been really aweful around here lately. That is saying something...

Not accurate, but an Auburn fan would know that Powell's books in Portland, OR is the largest independently owned bookstore in the world......

Opelika is a dump, and while everyone refers to it as auburn opelika, the two are very different. Auburn itself is pretty isolated in its own little area that fans, and students enjoy.
Auburn fan's are "aweful" as you say becuase bama is having success and everywhere you go you run into 3 bama fans to every 1 auburn fan saying "hows cheesdick doing" "5-19" "moral victory" etc. Im guilty of it too, but its more of bama's job to cast stones about how we're acting.
