Not upset at all. I've stated numerous times that he's earned a shot at a HC somewhere, and will wish him well. He's just not gonna leave to go to the a-hole of the SEC. I think he'd do great at Ole Miss if they ever can Nutt's stupid arse.

You might be right. Seeing as how MSU is the only team in the SEC with a sub .500 winning percentage, something even Vandy has accomplished.

That's like asking why someone would turn down Vandy or Kentucky, even though they're both in the SEC. Being at a doormat and getting your teeth kicked in just to say you're an SEC coach isn't all that. MSU is the Vandy of the West, a school Malzahn already told to piss off.
you are so dumb, you are really dumb, fo real

You are an absolute dumb arse. 5 years out of high school saying no to a SEC head coaching job to a team who will be preseason ranked next year? Wow.

If MSU wants him, I think he is gone.
Malzahn is an offensive genius, but it takes much more to be a good head coach. MSU would be taking a big risk in taking Malzahn as their HC, IMO.

great OC =/= great coach.
To be fair (and only a bit facetious), coaching at Shiloh Christian in Springdale is not much different from coaching at a small college.
Big recruiting budget? Check
Wealthy alums to pander to? Check
Oversee a staff of coordinators and assistants? Check
Blend big-time athletes' egos? Check
Even though he's been on the college scene only a few years and he has not been a hc there yet, he has demsonstrated many of the essential skills necessary.

Since 1970 when that little thing called "Integration" hit the SEC, Vandy has about a 35% winning percentage. What they did in the 1930's and 1940's no longer matters.
Gus would leave tire marks leaving the Plains if offered the State job

I don't hate State. I'm giving you facts. They have the worst record of any school in the SEC, even worse than Vandy and Kentucky. Therefore, they are the literal a-hole of the SEC.

And since 1970, MSU has a winning percentage of about 42%. So on that pace, you should pass them by somewhere about 2030...provided the whole 2012 doomsday thing doesn't occur.

MSU is not going to get a well established coach with years of head coaching experience. Whoever they hire will be a risk.

+1000000000000000
It could end up being a good hire but damn people are giving him too much credit too soon.
