Who is the better QB?
I really don’t know much about Max other than he can complete the winning touchdown right before he is about to get pounded. Who would you say is the better QB compared to Mond’s senior season. I rather not compare with stats since Mond had a better line.

Mond sucked but max holds the ball forever and gets sacked A LOT. It doesn’t matter because even with all that talent jimbo will not get over the hump until he has another NFL ready quarterback lije Jameis Winston. You will see

Well Mond did lead us to a 4th place finish despite sucking.

That's difficult from this place.
HOWEVER, i believe Mond is a better QB based on arm strength and speed. But like Max... i don't think either has been in the right system.

Johnson can't read defenses and can't run. So he holds the ball way too long and takes a lot of sacks or hurried throws. Mond just sucked.

Johnson is a tough guy. Holds onto the ball way too long, doesnt leave the pocket enough as he should, when he tries to jump through the pocket, he ends up hitting a DL or OL and falling. If he gets sacked, there's a 60% chance he fumbles the ball. He has decent speed and agility but we never utilized that since we only had him and a true freshman QB. He has a very slow release and not the strongest arm. If you guys can teach him to get out of the pocket and use his legs, he can be a weapon. but also keep in mind he left his team and went another SEC west school. Is that who you want leading your team???

Sidewalk, the final rankings don’t come out until after the natty game. A&M moved up since they won their bowl game and Notre Dame dropped down one spot after they lost their CFP game.

I think that means they have put A&M in the fourth playoff spot instead of ND.

I was just curious if the "fourth place finish" actually means anything or is a moral victory?

Forget Mond, the QB situation had zero to do with MJ going to A&M and everything to do with getting Jake Johnson.
How about this, Zach Calzata is a slightly better QB than Max. If Zach & Max were vying for the starting QB job, and all things equal no biases, Calzata wins that battle 8 out of 10 times! Calzata has a stronger arm and much more mobile than Max. That is not difficult at all to see.
So if Calzata left A&M because of competition and probably not being able to beat out King in the Spring, what chance would you give a QB that isn’t as talented as Zach???
I am sure Max is going to get a shot at being the starter, because you know that is what Fisher had to promise to get the brothers to A&M. But you know he caveated it with, I will give him the opportunity to win the starting job, but what Max does with that opportunity depends on his performance!
Max will be a great back up QB to King, because if King does go down again Max will can step in and the one thing Fisher won’t have to worry much about is Max turning the ball over much at all
