You know, I thought that was really cool TBH. We could learn a lot from Arkansas when it comes to the transition. It's nice to see conferences members willing to help each other out. We're not used to that.

ETA: Kevin Slaten is just about the biggest arse there is.

Mizzou sports fans, football fans especially, is going to love being in the SEC. I understand there are other big teams out there, but the passion that SEC fans have, are unmatched in college football

I agree. And for the more casual fans the allure of having so many big teams come to the local school there will be no lulls as far as coming to games.

My mom is originally from STL, she went to elementary school with him. He's a legitimate crazy person.

ETA: I'm from Louisiana and went to LSU, but I've pulled for Mizzou and SLU as well because of relatives in STL. And I lived in STL for a year.

Can't agree more. Part of our attendance is related to the competition, no doubt. Going to see kansas state or iowa state just doesn't have the same appeal of going to see Georgia or Tennessee. No offense to the former.

That kind of stings. Not really.

You can stay out of my conversation with Hunter if you choose. He knew what I meant as you can tell by his response.

I have my favorite posters I trade barbs with. I don't have time to be extra creative to appease your need to be entertained. I don't think I've directed any of those barbs toward you specifically. There's a reason for that.

Carry on and feel free to call me out anytime you so desire.

I bet both USC and Arky will be a big help during the transition time.

I think you're right. He's awful, not sure how he has a job. Nice Missouri roots you have there!! You realize this means we'll expect you to stick up for us when necessary, right?

Oh, I get it now. You got mad because of my jab at Arky earlier in this thread. Yes, I agree it's unoriginal. I'll give you that.

How about this new material you came up with though? Original?

That we have destroyed all of our tradition leaving rivals, our recruiting will die off, we wont live up to the SEC expectations, that the new jerseys suck, that Pinkle cant coach, that going from the Big XII to the SEC is not a huge upgrade, etc. I could go on but you pretty much get the idea.

In other words (except for the jerseys) everything that people are saying about A&M.

Mizzou's AD appreciates how the SEC works together....

And part of the reason relates to the number of strong teams in the SEC: Alabama, LSU, Florida, Auburn, UGA and Tennessee have each won one or more SECC's during the BCS era. Meanwhile in the Big 12, it's either OU or Texas, USC or Oregon in the Pac 10 and in the ACC it's usually VT. I will say that the Big 10 is pretty balanced with Ohio St., Michigan, Wisconsin and Michigan St. often winning or sharing championships.
