Amazing. You don’t know shite about Baker. Kelly fired him from LSU.
Mizzou hired Baker as a safeties coach. Our DC went to the NFL, so he was promoted because he was the only one on staff with DC experience.

He only got the job out of desperation after Steve Wilks left for the NFL late.

The story is simple. Blake Baker knows who is valuable on that staff and is building the defense his way.

Drink can make another safeties coach a top end DC so Kelly can overpay us for them again and promptly ruin them. Rinse repeat to the tune of millions

This game was the final straw for Baker as DC at Miami. He was stripped of play calling and shortly after left for LSU as an LB coach.

It wasn’t a single game. It was a few years at Miami. Diaz had to keep interfering in Baker’s defense and finally had enough. He was demoted, then went to LSU for a year before being fired by LSU. Then Mizzou hired him as a safeties coach. The DC left before the season forcing Drink to promote him.
Drink is a Coach Whisperer.

I don’t need to. You’ll see on the field. Baker succeeded under Drink’s oversight after failing at Miami under Manny Diaz and getting fired by LSU.
