With a veteran, talented offensive line, some good backs and a QB that is much better in a run first type offense, is Dooley going to run more read option, power run type stuff?

Seems like the roster is there to run more of a Malzahn style attack at normal speed.

Dooley had already slowed down the game post-Heupel. I'd expect more read option and power run game. But, Mizzou was pretty balanced last year in run/pass even with Lock.

The thing is, they return a lot of production in the WR/TE room.

Jonathan Johnson in the slot has potential to break receiving records this year. Potential 1st rounder TE Albert O is back and is a huge redzone threat. Transfer WR Nance from Arkansas showed flashes in the spring game. And there were several young guys last year that showed potential in limited play time that have another year of development.

So, with all that being said, yes Mizzou will bring the run game. But, will probably be pretty balanced. RPO will probably be the approach.

I really liked what Dooley did with that offense last year. Was really impressive how much better Lock got. I was impressed with Mizzou's physically in Tuscaloosa last year.

The OL was really good last year. It should be pretty good this year too.

I hope Dooley is able to utilize Bryant's strengths in the run game, while also taking advantage of the WR group returning. If he can do that, and Bryant can maintain his 66% completion rate, Mizzou could be a scary offense to face this season.

Heavy RPO based spread. We’ll still take some deep shots, but expect Albert O to be our leading receiver at TE.

We’ll lean on the power run game quite a bit.

I know most will say this about their team blah blah blah but...

I honestly think this may be the best Mizzou team we've seen in a long time. If we can get an edge rusher to emerge... oh baby.

This will be another fun year. 9 or 10 wins.

I think the offense is going to be good whatever happens but it has a lot of potential.

Bryant is actually a lot better short passing than Lock if you go by the stats. And he's had what, 2 years to work on the deep ball? I feel like he's going to get a lot of open receivers deep and if he can hit them our offense will be insane.

If not we've got plenty of guys that can get open on short routes and some awesome tight ends for the red zone.

Larry Rountree will be a top back.

This team isn’t as talented as the 13 team. Not close really. It’s pretty good though and the schedule is about as favorable as we are going to get in the SEC.

To get anywhere close to that 13 level we are going to have to have a lot of young guys become premier players. Specifically on the DL

We could see us winning double digit games though. For sure

The D is going to have to come up with something at DE. I think DT will be okay. But we haven’t had shut-down DE in several years now. We’ll see if Jeffcoat an Byers improve this year, and if sci Martin can add anything.

The offense should be good and fun to watch, but we don’t have the defense to make a run to Atlanta... I don’t think
