I read the St. Louis Dispatch story about him from last fall and had no idea about this incident. Who had it out for this guy? I always thought he was just your version of Stephen Garcia, but with the protests and campus stuff going on simultaneously with this, do any of you believe he was targeted by them?

Not even close to being in Stephen Garcia's league. It would have been cocaine and he'd have snorted it off the boobs of a prostitute in his hotel room the night before getting our asses kicked by Auburn in the SECCG.

It's called curiosity. The guy has a car accident that a mechanic says looks suspicious. He then gets a cryptic Facebook message from an anonymous person. A 3-year old video of him appearing to snort drugs gets released later that day. This is the same guy who wears America frick yeah shirts on a campus that is exploding with SJW protests.

I highly doubt they are related. The “protests” you saw on the news networks were drastically exaggerated.
Maty seems like a guy that probably made a lot of enemies in his college days, so it could have been any number of suspects.
