Wait. I legit had no idea this was apart of the students singing along. That’s pretty great.

it's a catchy tune, and I'd bet that many people don't know what that song is about. They just sing it, not really knowing what it's about.
Kind of like that pina colada song. When you actually think about the lyrics, you say "Well, that's messed up, they're cheating on each other."

Not a cuck anthem. It's from the perspective of someone who is distraught about their love interest sleeping with another man. We don't know if they are even in a relationship with the woman in question, only that the protagonist has romantic feelings for said woman. A cuck would enjoy this scenario, not be upset by it. I have banged hundreds of married women in the Fayetteville, Arkansas region so I am an expert in this field.
You like shitty bands and no you haven't

What are we supposed to be looking at besides a little bitty stadium in what used to be a corn field?

Frenzy, you're gonna have to frick straight off if you are going to make fun of fans and traditions and that type of thing. To do that with that aTm logo next to your name is quite something. You are Cringe University
Um…I put the bush gif to show that I wasn’t getting involved because our fight song is all about Texas University.
Take a chill pill, bro.

I don't get it. It is stupid but the students like it
It’s clear nobody ever thought this through and it’s now a fundamental part of the rivalry.
If I had to bet, I’d say the line “and I’m doing just fine” is where this originates — stating that Mizzou is doing just fine leaving KU behind.
But given the actual song lyrics and the context of that line being a ‘cope’ because the singer really isn’t “doing just fine” makes this an absolutely embarrassing choice of song to sing to your rival.
You just registered this month and 80% of your posts are about Mizzou.....welcome Jayturd to the SEC Rant.

I had no idea this Song was a thing for college FB or sports in general. Odd. Cool song but odd to use it.

Here’s a better interpretation.
The song has been played at sporting events for decades, not peculiarly at Mizzou.
They don’t play it because Brandon Flowers was watching forlornly while his girlfriend cheated on him. They play it because it’s catchy and fun to sing along with.
I get that it’s the Rant and we’re just all slinging shite, but I’m happy to interject reality.

-Never said its a song played exclusively at Mizzou
-Playing the song isn’t the issue
-Singing the song isn’t the actual issue
Crossing a red line through this sentence as void.
quote:

-Never said they did.
Void.
quote:

-Have recognized it as catchy and the reason it’s played and sang.
-Being catchy and fun to sing has nothing to do with what I’m asserting about the embarrassment of singing in the manner they do, targeting a rival
Red line.

Yep, popular 20+ years later for a reason.
And fits as well blasting in an arena or field as it is in the car.
Very odd to adopt it as your anthem against your rival given the perspective of the lyrics.

You’re literally retarded.

literally.
You must really mean it.
Mizzou sings a paranoid cuck-anthem to their rival and then shouts at them.
If that’s not what is literally happening, please try to explain otherwise.

You’re over analyzing something that is easily explainable and was explained to you. You’re doing it because you’re literally retarded.

It’s really a very quick and basic analysis.
And it wasn’t explained.
Anything you said, I had already said myself.
The fact it’s a catchy and fun tune is understood.
The fact it’s played at stadiums and arena’s is understood.
That’s why it’s still popular 20+ years after release.
The puzzling thing is singing a paranoid-cope song about being cheated on and directing it at your rival.
