With Smith, I feel confident we can get to 6 wins. If we don't win this year, I don't know when we will. I feel like this is a whole new team after the last two weeks. I know it was just Ole Miss and half the State game, but you can tell the team just "clicks" with Smith under center.

their record vs Ohio State is fricking abysmal, which should be unacceptable as an SEC team

Some of those games are from 1895 and 1896

Wow.

I can picture the rant back then...

'Say chap..may we Missourians partake in your conference matches upon the pitch?" (While twirling his wax tipped moustache)

"Why heavens no..."

"Well,,now,,,that is not very just.."

"(Pulls dark tinted monocle over his eye) Accept it!"

Missouri beat UF once in 1966, it is the only time we have played.

And who was the Gators' QB in that game?

I was there for that--we'd hit the Liberty Bowl every year. I don't recall if it was our game with you or your game with Baylor but during halftime, the fireworks screwed up and what was essentially giant Roman Candles began firing inside the stadium. They initially were fired into a circle where the refs were huddled & everyone started cheering. Then they went into the crowed and the LSU fans started chanting "De-Fense!" over & over. As a young fan, I got my first kick out of LSU fans that night & have enjoyed a few more since.

Umm...Ol' ball player when he was a QB in college. Learn history--pretty sure he wasn't a player/coach for the Gators.

Will Max Smith even beat out Towles next year?

He has looked pretty pedestrian this year in what I've seen of him (still 100x better than M. Newton).

They're gonna do all they can to red shirt Towles, so most likely yea. He played awesome Saturday (yea I know Ole Miss) and against State for a true freshman, though. At this point he's 100x better than Woodson was his freshman or even sophomore year. He has tons of potential.
