MU went up 17-9 at the 11:48 mark of the 3rd qtr. UGA took the ensuing KO & went on a 12 play 75yd drive & 2point conversion to tie the game at 17 with 7:27 left in the 3rd....

So no...MU didn't lead 17-9 late in the 3rd qtr...

Anyone who watched that game would realize the score does not indicate how most of the game was played. It was 17-9, Mizzou late in the third quarter. They beat us with their depth and superior d-line, as well as our stupid turnovers and ill-advised trick plays.

Scoreboard.

That's all that matters when it says 0:00. You got beat because we are better than you. Shut up with the excuses and just admit that you got beat already. Are we going to have to listen to MizzWho's excuses all year long for all of the games that you have lost and are going to lose?

facts suck don't they...

Then MU kicked a FG to go up 20-17 with 4:48 in the 3rd. UGA took the KO & went on a 71yd drive to go ahead 24-20 with 1:48 in the 3rd & the rout was on... Back to back 70+ yard drives to take control.

Touchy little bastard, aren't ya?

The better team won the game. I never claimed otherwise. I'm just stating the fact that the game was closer than it appeared from the final score.

Really don't care about this game that much, just bothers me in general when fanbases claim a game was close because of the score halfway through or because of the total yards despite LOSING BY 21.

Unless we play for 60 minutes then UGA will rape us in the 4th quarter. However, I do like that we have nothing to lose and should play very aggressive. Our offense is explosive enough that we could jump out quickly and if our defense creates turnovers then I could see us at least having a shot

But in the other thread you posted in, we're "lucky to get 7" points? Somebody needs to make up their mind .. Oh and make sure to add the "r"

UGA was also hurting on the defensive side of the ball due to suspensions. Mizzou had all the advantages an underdog could possibly have in that game and still got blown out on the scoreboard.

This.

Home underdog at night. Visiting team has 4 starters on D out. Mizzou comes out the gates hot. Still loses by 21.

Dude, our defense took over in the 4th quarter and we won by 3 TD's. I will be fine with a similar result over UT.

Georgia outgained LSU in the SEC championship game and it ended up being one of the worst beatdowns in SECCG history.

Don't forget their first SEC game, their ENTIRE team and fan base completely fired up. So much energy, it was the recipe for a perfect storm to upset UGA.

How we play from the middle of the third quarter forward will really dictate the score of this game ( same as UF ). I'd accept the loss as long as 2 factors were met. Playing a solid 4 quarter game, & Tyler Bray taking over as leader of this football team. Both would be HUGE steps in the right direction for this program

That's one of the many reasons UGA fans are fired up this year....

'09, '10 or '11 we lose the MU game...

some notable stats:

only 113 rushing yards for UGA. 3.2 ypc against all-white skinny Missouri D-line

0-7 on third down conversions in the first half

UGA was trailing until very late in the 3rd

total yards Missouri 371, UGA 355 yards

12 penalties for 79 yards
Did not realize Mizzou moved the ball as well as they did against that ferocious UGA defense. But it does look like Missou ran out of gas in the 4th. Do like Aaron though. He is the real deal.

Yards dont mean much and often a losing team will have more overall yardage than the victor...usually its passing yds. Thats why if you read the boxscores (I do every sunday)the team rushing the ball will almost always win. A team like Houston could play Bama and have 400 yds passing or more but get their azzs handed to them. You can throw 5 yd passes and screens all day long if you arent a physical team....but you get pounded.

It's probably because Georgia had four starters suspended for the game from that ferocious defense.

WVU vs LSU last year. Threw quick passes all night and lost by 26 with like 400 yards passing.
