Best conference in CFB. Just making sure your fans are onboard. Carry on.

The highest concentrations of Mizzou alumni in cities outside our state are Dallas-Fort Worth and Chicago.

Which is why the other thread makes no sense to leave ATL

DFW = B 12 land
ORD = B1G land

At least you were kind enough to point this out so non MU alumni from other SEC schools better understand the dynamics.

Why do you give a frick what we do? You seem awful upset?

Here is the thing. We have one of the smaller fan bases in the SEC. Maybe 9th or 10th biggest. We also have by far the worst traveling situation of any SEC team.

So yeah, we'll sell out some allotments. We'll return tickets to others.

The longer we are in the SEC the bigger our fan base will get, and more importantly we will start having more southern alums that can more easily make some of these trips. This will take years though. It is what it is.

I will just assume you came to COMO the last two times and didn't watch the game from your nice Boston bar.

Not asking for a dick measuring contest but pretty sure BCS is the worst.
Not saying Columbia is the easiest but BCS…

I'm on record saying I thought the SEC isn't a great fit. Money obviously was too good to pass up though. But yeah, our alumni's 4 largest destinations are KC, STL, Dallas, and Chicago. Dallas/Tx was great in the Big 12 and I don't think many people cared when the conference CG or Bball tournament were there.

Just don't have the same connections to the south I guess. Definitely interesting.

Look 3 or 4 posts above you buddy. Take it easy, save your money, and maybe one day you'll be able to come to a real SEC CFB town.

Surely you aren't telling anyone else to take it easy. This has you all worked up for some reason.

Yeah it's in the Back Bay. Nicest neighborhood in the city. Copley Square area.

I don't get worked up over a message board slick. It's the internet. Go back to work so you can afford to attend an away game.

It is only a matter of time that Mizzou will be in the west. It makes too much sense. The travel has to be brutal for not just the fans, but the teams as well.

They should have moved AU to the East and put Mizzou in the West to begin with IMO.

I remember this which is why I was not going as hard as some of those who say one thing and go the other way.

Which makes sense as none of those are SEC alumni strongholds.

Hogs were the only non TX school in the old SWC so they were the stepchild no matter what they did.

Cocks had shared history with the SEC via the old SIAA and SoCon so their alumni will correlate to SEC alumni strongholds.

TAMU started out here, left for 100 years, then came back. In the SWC and B12 they would always be the secondary school but here their success will carve their unique identity.

MU just did not have the SEC history but as the edge of multiple conferences they could join many but may never fully fit any. The one beauty of the SEC is the power to reinvent your aura.

Hogs, TAMU, and Cocks may all fail, but that failure will not be based on lack of opportunity.

I'll be there. Just a 5 hour drive for me. In 2013 some UGA fan was so sad about losing he gave me his Jim beam he smuggled into the game. Athens isn't bad at all had a good time there. If any Mizzou fans never made the trip, I recommend you do some year.
