All that needs to be understood is that they've never played in the Sugar Bowl.
They did play in the Jan 41 Orange Bowl.
Also, they would've played in the Sugar Bowl when they won the SEC the next season but they got stuck on the west coast because of Pearl Harbor (they had played an extra regular season game @ San Francisco on Dec 6).
The SEC champ wasn't locked into the Sugar Bowl until the 75 season.

How many of your bowl games were in Shreveport and Memphis?
I wouldn't go there, y'all have only won 4 major bowls.

Not really, considering the comparison is state...
Yeah, I didn't even mention the year you went to no bowl. The year after you won six and went to the Birmingham Bowl.
Let's not pretend you're some SEC juggernaut. You're like the 350lb guy at the YMCA gym bragging about his dropstep and even how much better it was years ago.

moo state has devolved to comparing wins against sun belt teams to sugar bowl appearances.

Auburn is (60-29-3) against Mississippi St
The only other SEC with a better win percentage vs state is Bama and UGA
