Its amazing for me to hear all these guys talk about how stars don't matter once they all land at Ole Miss in February but as soon as the next class starts up it's all about getting the top guys in Mississippi.

So, either stars do matter and you were just butthurt last year because a crappy 4-8 team took all the recruits from one of the best teams in school history for State, or stars don't matter and there's no need for countless Dandy Dozen and lol "Big Dawg" camp threads.

Which is it? I know what you're going to say, but we all know the answer.

He is a HS WR, who we like in our spread offense as a pass catching TE. Not many offers because he is from Greene County Mississippi. Not many people even know where it is.

On a side note, and im sure to get ribbed for this, but Gus is in Rodeo and rides bulls. He has been high on State for a long time.

So you're saying he likes state because he rides bulls?

Sounds pretty plausible to me.

Huge weekend for State. Beating out those CUSA schools all day.

But wait, they "fit your system." There's absolutely no way your coaching staff wanted five stars.

Walley had pretty good stats as a JR

As a junior last year, Walley had 50 catches for 912 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Better hope so. If not, your coach has a lot of crow to eat along with your newly established arrogant fanbase.

I forsee the players State wanted starting to show up (aka Carlos Thompson, Carlton Martin, Byron Bennett, CJ Johnson, Aaron Morris, etc.).

But have fun discussing how all these players are going to be Bulldogs like Quay when they won't even commit when basically put on the spot.

From what I am hearing Quay, Ward, and Nick James aren't even at TSUN's camp today.

Yeah they will next year, Mullen's recruiting worries me a little bit, but until I don't have a reason to doubt him, I will gladly give him the benefit of the doubt

Who cares? James probably won't qualify so I don't count him, but we'll split at the very least for Quay and Ward.

I think we'll see this:
1) Around the summer to December, Rosebowl again says these guys are State's to beat when he in reality has no clue.

2) Around the week before the Army All-American bowl, he says something has changed and it's about 50-50.

3) That week all of GenesPage and all the other leghumpers freak out, question Rosebowl, and then Rosebowl gets all mad and says, "I only report what I hear."

4) Quay and Ward together announce to play for the "Landsharks" at the Army All-American bowl.

5) MSU fans all across the message board world come up with any and every recruiting violation they can. Even the moderators chime in from time to time to keep themselves out of hot water for manipulating the fanbase to make a living for subscriptions.

I think we'll see this:

1) Around Thanksgiving, Ole Miss will finish another 3-9 or 4-8 season

2) Around xmas, Nutters will be fired because winning "recruiting titles" isn't good enough

3) Throw a lot of money at big time assistants, get turned down by most, end up with 3rd choice

4) Feb rolls around and all recruits realize they like to grind and end up with Dan Merlins

5) Ole Miss continues to try to justify themselves as better in every way as they always have while crying in their hotty toddys over another shitty football season

6) Ole Miss continues to sue people and State continues to drive tractors

I thought Ole Miss fan was arrogant and cocky for finishing in the top half of the west, then your school and fan base finished 5th that one year...
