You do realize is still building our program don't you? We aren't anywhere near the level of Bama or LSU.

Scheduling tough OOC games that we could lose aren't helpful considering the brutal SEC schedule we already play.

Did not know that. Been watching State football since 1960. Please enlighten me re: MSU football.

Pretenders or contenders? Deal with it and get better. Run with the big dogs or stay on the porch.

Yeah, I like what grasshopper and merlins are doing. No need for a strong OOC schedule. We just need to guarantee a bowl birth even if we can't win more than 2 SEC games, like last year. And hell, you need cupcakes between the Bama and LSUs to recover, rest, and gameplan.

So playing Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Arkansas every year isn't "running with the big dogs" as you like to put it.

I guess you think we should schedule Florida State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and USC in our out of conference.

Everyone schedules a cupcake for HC except the cupcakes. Pay me $500k a year, and I will come up with an interesting schedule for you. You are either contenders or pretenders. A schedule like this puts you in the pretenders corner unless you go 10-2.

This isnt basketball- strength of schedule doesnt matter...

State and Auburn were the only 2 teams in the nation to play 4 top 10 teams in 2011. How is that for scheduling? Bama played 2 in the regular season.

Diamondawg thinks he pays too much for his season tickets to have to watch us beat teams like Jackson State, Middle Tennessee, and South Alabama at home

Not a bad schedule at all for a SEC West team.

I see bowl eligibility in the Bulldogs future!

Going to bowl games every year improves recruiting
Improving recruiting leads to better teams
Better teams allow you to schedule more big teams for national TV

we have a plan in place- but it does take a little time to execute it

Diamonddawg gets to watch us play Auburn, Texas A&M, and Tennessee next year, in addition to a few other wins- he'll be fine

Absolutely losing to the big dogs is running with the big dogs. Schedule one good OOC game per year and roll the dice - win it and we are running with the big dogs. Lose it - let's go back to work and get better.

You dumbass, I have property there with an RV sitting on it. I will be there. You won't bring your stupid self up there for JSU or South Alabama and you know it. The fans are going to get tired of this kind of scheduling.

You're seriously marking down Auburn as a definite win...again?! After what happened last season? Some people on this board never cease to amaze me.

No they won't. As long as we are winning big the fans will be happy.

We tried your scheduling method last method scheduling home and homes with Oregon, West Virginia, and Georgia Tech. That really helped us a TON. The only year we went to a bowl game in 2007 it was because we have an easy OOC.
